GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 13 August 2002
on the occupation of soldiers of the Army of the Czech Republic for rescue work in floods in the period up to 15 September 2002
The Government orders pursuant to § 14 (3) of Act No. 219 / 1999 Coll., on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic:
A maximum of 8000 soldiers in active duty shall be used for rescue operations in floods on the territory of the Czech Republic where the Prime Minister's decision of 12 August 2002 and 13 August 2002 has declared an emergency.
The Minister of the Interior, Mayor of the City of Prague and the governors of the respective regions will decide on the use of soldiers in active service.
The Minister of Defence shall designate soldiers in active service, including military equipment, to carry out their duties under Section 1.
(1) This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
(2) This Regulation shall expire on 15 September 2002.
