Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the Energy Charter Agreement was adopted in Lisbon on 17 December 1994.
On behalf of the Czech Republic, the Agreement was signed in Lisbon on 8 June 1995. The Parliament of the Czech Republic agreed to the Agreement, the President of the Republic ratified the Agreement. The instrument of ratification was deposited with the Government of the Portuguese Republic, depositary of the Agreement, on 17 June 1996.
The Agreement has been provisionally implemented since the date of signature and in the Czech Republic since 8 June 1995 in accordance with the provisions of Article 45 (1) thereof. Pursuant to Article 44 (1) of the Agreement, it entered into force on 16 April 1998 and entered into force on that date for the Czech Republic.
The text of the Agreement can be consulted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
