on the introduction of summer time between 2017 and 2021

§ 1
Subject matter
This Regulation implements the relevant provisions of the European Union1) and provides for the introduction of summer time between 2017 and 2021.
§ 2
The beginning and end of summer time from 2017 to 2021
(1) Summer time is introduced
(a) in 2017 on 26 March;
(b) in 2018, 25 March;
(c) in 2019, 31 March;
(d) in 2020, 29 March;
(e) in 2021, 28 March.
These days, at the second hour of Central European time, the clock will shift to the third hour of summer time.
(2) Summer time ends
(a) in 2017 on 29 October;
(b) in 2018, 28 October;
(c) in 2019, 27 October;
(d) in 2020, 25 October;
(e) in 2021, 31 October.
In these days, the third hour of summer time will shift the clock to the second hour of Central European time.
§ 3
Impact of summer time on fixed weekly working hours
(1) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members whose beginning of summer time will be in their shift between 2017 and 2021 should this shift be reduced by one hour as a result of the introduction of summer time.
(2) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members to whom the end of summer time from 2017 to 2021 falls into their shift should this shift be extended by one hour as a result of the end of summer time.
§ 4
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on the 15th day following its publication.

Commission communication in accordance with Article 4 of Directive 2000 / 84 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the adjustment of summer time - Timetable for the summer period (2016 / C 61 / 01).
