amending the Classification of Territorial Statistical Units (CZ- NUTS)
The Czech Statistical Office, pursuant to § 19 (2) of Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on the National Statistical Service, announces with effect from 1 January 2013 the change of concept in the Classification of Territorial Units (hereinafter "the nomenclature of CZ- NUTS ') introduced by the Communication of the Czech Statistical Office No. 490 / 2003 Coll. of 18 December 2003 and updated by the Communications of the Czech Statistical Office No. 228 / 2004 Coll. of 14 April 2004, No 201 / 2007 Coll. of 26 July 2007 and No 241 / 2011 of 16 August 2011.
The amendment to the classification of CZK-NUTS is subject to a change of the name of NUTS level 2 from the word "region" to the term "region of cohesion," in accordance with the provisions of § 20a (5) (a) of Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on State Statistical Service, as amended by Act No. 227 / 2009 Coll.
The valid version of the CZ- NUTS classification will be available on the Czech Statistical Office's website at www.czso.cz.
