DECLARATION
of 5 December 2023
on the issue of commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 150th anniversary of the birth of Josef Suk
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll. and Act No. 89 / 2018 Coll.:
(1) On January 3, 2024, the 150 anniversary of Josef Suk's birth is issued with a commemorative silver coin of CZK 200 (hereinafter referred to as the "two hundred crowns").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief.
(3) Two hundred koruna is rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of two hundred crowns is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm and its strength is 2,25 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns, the tolerance in the silver content shall be up to 1%, the difference in weight up to 0,26 g, the tolerance in diameter 0,1 mm and the tolerance in thickness 0,15 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *."
(1) On the front of the two-hundred crown, the violin corpus is represented on the note autographs of Josef Suk. There is a vertical text "CZECH REPUBLIC" on the spur of this body and a horizontal text with a denomination marking and acronym of the money unit "200 CZK." The brand of the Czech Mint is placed at the bottom right edge of the coin.
(2) A portrait of Josef Suk is depicted on the reverse of the two hundred crown. The copy at the edge of the coin contains the texts "JOSEF SUK" and "1874-2024." The facsimile of Josef Suk's signature is placed under the portrait. The initials of the coin author MgA. Petry Čánská, which are made up of composite letters "P" and "No", are located at the bottom edge of the coin.
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decree shall take effect on 3 January 2024.
