DECLARATION
of 25 August 2020
amending Decree No 278 / 2000 Coll., on the maritime register and documents of seagoing vessels, as amended by Decree No 327 / 2011 Coll.
The Ministry of Transport provides, pursuant to § 85 (1) of Act No. 61 / 2000 Coll., on maritime navigation, as amended by Act No. 310 / 2008 Coll., Act No. 261 / 2011 Coll., Act No. 64 / 2014 Coll. and Act No. 81 / 2015 Coll., ("the Act ') for the implementation of Section 27 (3) of the Act:
The following Section 29b is inserted after Section 29a of Decree No. 278 / 2000 Coll., on the maritime register and documents of seagoing vessels, as amended by Decree No. 327 / 2011 Coll., including the title:
Other insurance documents
The proof of insurance for damage resulting from the death of a crew member, his accident at work or occupational disease, proof of insurance to cover the costs of repatriation, proof of insurance to cover the wages due and other cash benefits resulting from the basic employment relationship and proof of insurance to cover the costs of securing the social conditions of the crew members and fuel necessary for survival on board the ship shall include:
(a) the name of the ship, the identification number of the ship allocated by the International Maritime Organisation and the port of registry;
(b) call sign of the ship,
(c) the business name and address of the insurance provider's registered office;
(d) contact details of the person responsible for handling the contractual claims of the crew members of the ship;
(e) the business name, name or surname of the ship's operator, as appropriate;
(f) the duration of the insurance; and
(g) a certificate issued by the insurance provider showing that the insurance complies with the requirements of the law. ';
Efficacy
This Order shall take effect on the first day of the second calendar month following its publication.
