THE LAW
of 9 April 1960
on the territorial breakdown of the State
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following Act:
The territory of the Czechoslovak Republic is divided into counties, the counties are divided into counties and the counties are divided into municipalities and military escapes.
(1) The territory of the municipality is defined by the boundary of one or more continuous cadastral territories.
(2) The territory of a military exit is defined by the border of one or more continuous cadastral territories.
(3) The Ministry of the Interior lays down by implementing legislation the territory of the counties by enumeration of municipalities and military exits.
The territory of the capital of Prague consists of a separate territorial unit; split into ten circuits. The name of the circuits is: district Prague 1 - 10. The Ministry of the Interior shall determine by implementing legislation the territory of the districts by enumeration of the urban areas at the effective date of the Act.
The following regions are being developed:
1. Central Bohemian Region based in Prague;
2. South Bohemia Region based in České Budějovice;
3. Západočeské Region, based in Pilsen;
4. North Bohemian Region based in Ústí nad Labem;
5. East Bohemian Region based in Hradec Kralove;
6. South Moravian Region, located in Brno;
7. North Moravian Region, based in Ostrava;
The following counties are established in the Central Bohemian Region:
1. Kreis Benešov;
2. Beroun County;
3. Kladno District;
4. Kreis Kolín;
5. Kutná Hora district;
6. Kreis Mělík;
7. The district of Mladá Bloslav;
8. The district of Nymburk;
9. PrahaEast district;
10. Prague-West district;
11. Kreis Příbram;
12. District Rakovnik.
The following counties are established in the South Bohemia Region:
1. District of České Budějovice;
2. The District of Český Krumlov;
3. The District of Henry Hradec;
4. Kreis Pelhrimov;
5. Sand County;
6. The District of Prachatice;
7. Strakonice district;
8. Tábor district.
The following counties are established in the West Bohemian Region:
1. District of Domazlice;
2. Cheb district;
3. The district of Karlovy Vary;
4. Klatovy district;
5. District of Pilsen-town;
6. District of Pilsen-South;
7. District of Pilsen-North;
8. The district of Rokycany;
9. Sokolov district;
10. Tachov district.
The following counties are established in the North Bohemian Region:
1. Česká Lípa district;
2. Decin County;
3. The district of Chomutov;
4. The district of Jablonec above Nisou;
5. Liberec district;
6. Litomerice district;
7. Louny County;
8. The District of Most;
9. Teplice district;
10. Ústí nad Labem district.
The following counties are established in the Eastern Bohemian Region:
1. The District of Havlickek Brod;
2. Hradec Kralove district;
3. Chrudim County;
4. The District of Jicin;
5. The District of Náhod;
6. Pardubice district;
7. The district of Rychnov above the Priest;
8. The District of Semily;
9. Svitavy district;
10. Trutnov district;
11. County of Ústí nad Orlicí.
The following counties are established in the South Moravian Region:
1. Blansko county;
2. The District of Brno-town;
3. The district of Brno-rural areas;
4. Breclav county;
5. Zlín district;
6. Hodonin district;
7. Kreis Jihlava;
8. Kreis Kromerij;
9. Prostejov district;
10. Třebíč district;
11. The district of Uherské Hradiště;
12. Vyškov district;
13. Znojmo county;
14. The district of Zdar over Sazavou.
The following counties are established in the North Moravian Region:
1. Bruntal district;
2. Kreis Frýdek-Místek;
3. The Jeseník District;
4. Karviná county;
5. The District of New Jicin;
6. Olomouc district;
7. Opava district;
8. District of Ostrava-town;
9. Porov district;
10. Šumperk district;
11. Vsetín county.
The territory of the counties shall consist of the territory of the counties.
(1) The creation or abolition of a county, a substantial change in its territory or a change in its registered office shall be carried out by law; Other changes to the territory of the county are the responsibility of the Government.
The Ministry of the Interior provides an overview of the municipalities, military depots, counties, counties and the capital city of Prague.
This Law shall take effect from the date of its publication; The government will do it.
