DEFINITIONS
DUKEL MEMORIES
The Dukel Memorial Medal is set up as a military memorial medal for the 15th anniversary of the Dukla fighting in the appreciation of the merits of the liberation of the Czechoslovak Republic from the fascist occupants and the consolidation of the Czechoslovak-Soviet fighting team.
The Dukel Memorial Medal can be lent to the living, fallen and deceased members of the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps in the USSR, who from 8 September to 28 November 1944 participated in the Dukla fighting and other citizens who, in the immediate context of the Dukla operation as guerrillas or organised and continuous combat activities, otherwise contributed to the visible damage of the enemy and to the assistance of Soviet and Czechoslovak military services.
The Dukel Memorial Medal can be given to the Czechoslovak People's Army services, which carry the historical names and fighting traditions of the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps in the USSR, which were engaged in combat at Dukla from 8 September to 28 November 1944.
The Duke Memorial Medal may also be given to foreign nationals and military services.
The Duke Memorial Medal is given by the President of the Republic on a proposal from the Government.
At the same time as the Dukel Memorial Medal, a diploma and a license to wear it will be issued.
If he died decorated, the medal is left to the survivors, but they are not allowed to wear it.
The medal given "in memoriam" to the fallen and deceased is not carried, but is handed over to the survivors in the grand custody.
Dukel Memorial Medal is a bronze ring with a diameter of 35 mm. On the cheek is a double portrait of a Soviet and Czechoslovak soldier, expressing a Czechoslovak-Soviet combat team. At the edge, it says, "Honor and glory to the Dukel heroes." On the back, the figures of the Soviet and Czechoslovak soldiers in a common common position are depicted in the symbolic form of the permanent fraternity of the Czechoslovak and Soviet armies. At the edge, it says, "With the Soviet Union for Eternal Time."
The ribbon of the medal is 35 mm wide. In the middle of the ribbon is 2 mm wide gold stripe, on both sides is 13,6 mm wide red stripe, 1,4 mm wide white stripe and 1,5 mm wide blue stripe.
The Duke Memorial Medal is worn on the left side of the breast behind the Sokolov Memorial Medal. If only the ribbon is worn, it is stretched to a rectangular bar 10 mm wide and 35 mm long.
The Dukel Memorial Medal is administered by the Ministry of National Defence.
