DECISION
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC
of 30 November 2023
on the delegation of power in the procedure for the grant of mercy
I.
By virtue of the authority given to me by the provision of Section 366 (2) of Act No. 141 / 1961 Coll., on criminal proceedings of the Court (Criminal Code), as amended,
1. to carry out proceedings for requests for mercy which were lodged before 1 January 2024 and have not been completed by that date;
2. to reject the requests for pardon referred to in point 1, except for the requests of persons suffering from a serious illness or an incurable disease immediately threatening their life, unless the conditions for the application of the provisions of Paragraph 327 (3) of the Criminal Code are found by the court,
with effect from 1 January 2024.
II.
As of 31 December 2023, I withdraw Decision No 378 of the President of the Republic of 29 November 2013 on the delegation of powers in the grant of pardons.
