GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 12 October 2016
on the award awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Trade
The Government orders pursuant to § 49 (6) of Act No. 218 / 2000 Coll., on budgetary rules and on the amendment of certain related laws (budgetary rules), as amended by Act No. 26 / 2008 Coll.:
Preliminary provisions
(1) This Regulation provides for awards awarded by the Minister for Industry and Trade to assess merit, life-long work or for an important industrial or commercial act.
(2) The kind of award is the Silver Medal of the Minister of Industry and Trade (hereinafter referred to as the "Medal"). The award also consists of a diploma and a title.
Medals
(1) The medal is drawn from silver of 999 purity, 50 mm in diameter and 42 g in weight.
(2) The medal includes the text "Medal of the Minister of Industry and Trade," accompanied by symbols of industry and trade.
Valuation conditions
(1) The award shall be granted to the person or group of persons. Valuation may also be given to a natural person in memoriam.
(2) The formal transmission of the awards awarded shall take place no more than four times a year.
(3) The following criteria shall be taken into account when selecting the person proposed for the award of the valuation:
(a) the assessment of industrial or commercial merits;
b) Lifelong work in the Ministry of Industry and Trade,
(c) an important industrial or commercial act.
Application for valuation
(1) The evaluation proposal may be submitted by the State's organisational body, contribution organisation, association, chamber, professional organisation or association of persons operating within the scope of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The proposals are evaluated and approved by the Minister for Industry and Trade.
(2) The proposal to award the award contains:
(a) the name, surname and address of the person proposed for the award, if any, of the natural person;
(b) the firm or the name and registered office of the person proposed for the award, if any, of the legal person;
(c) the justification of the proposal.
(3) The proposal for an in-memoriam award contains:
(a) the name and surname of the natural person proposed for the award of the valuation;
(b) justification of the proposal,
(c) the name, surname and residence of the natural person taking over the valuation.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 December 2016.
