Subject matter
This Regulation implements the relevant provisions of the European Union1) and provides for the introduction of summer time between 2022 and 2026.
The beginning of summer time between 2022 and 2026
(1) Summer time is introduced
(a) in 2022 on 27 March;
(b) in 2023 on 26 March;
(c) in 2024 on 31 March;
(d) in 2025 on 30 March;
(e) in 2026 on 29 March.
(2) On the dates referred to in paragraph 1, at 2.00 Central European time, time shall be changed to 3.00 Summer time.
End of summer time from 2022 to 2026
(1) Summer time ends
(a) in 2022 on 30 October;
(b) in 2023 on 29 October;
(c) in 2024 on 27 October;
(d) in 2025 on 26 October;
(e) in 2026 on 25 October.
(2) On the dates referred to in paragraph 1, at 3.00, summer time shall be changed to 2.00, Central European time.
Impact of summer time on fixed weekly working hours
(1) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members whose beginning of summer time between 2022 and 2026 will be within their shift if such shift decreases as a result of the introduction of summer time, it will be one hour shorter in the week concerned.
(2) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members whose end of summer time between 2022 and 2026 falls into their shift, if the shift is extended as a result of the end of summer time, will be one hour longer in the week concerned.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall take effect on 1 January 2022.
