DECLARATION
of 17 May 2004
on the issue of commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 150th anniversary of the birth of Leoš Janáček
The Czech National Bank provides for the Czech National Bank in accordance with § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
§ 1
(1) On the 150th anniversary of the birth of the composer Leoš Janáček, commemorative silver two hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns") are issued.
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Two hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of two hundred crowns is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm and its strength is 2,35 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal version is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special version is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13 g *." In the case of two-hundredth stamping in normal and special design, the tolerance allowed shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In the mass, the allowed tolerance is up to 0,26 g and in the silver content is up to 1%.
§ 2
(1) On the face of two hundred crowns is an artistic composition of stylized animals from the state sign of the Czech Republic placed on the background of four rectangular fields. The name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" and the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "200 CZK" is placed in the unclosed copy at the left, bottom and right edge of the two hundred crown. The name of the State and the denomination of the coin are separated by a small rectangle. Under the name of the state is the sculpture transcription of Janáček's note sketch to Ukvalské folk poetry in songs. At the upper edge of the two hundred crown in the middle is the mark of the mint that drove the two hundred crown.
(2) On the back of the two-hundred crown is a portrait of Leoš Janáček, in which an unclosed copy of the years "1854-2004" and the composer's name "LEELP JANÁČEK," located at the left, lower and right edges of the two hundred crowns. The numbers and the name are separated by a tiny rectangle. The author of the design of the two hundred crowns is the academic sculptor Jiří Vineček, whose initials "jv" are located in the lower part of the two hundred crowns left of the portrait.
§ 3
This Decree shall take effect on 23 June 2004.
