of 24 May 2006
amending Act No. 257 / 2001 Coll., on Libraries and Conditions of Operation of Public Library and Information Services (Librarian Act), as amended by Act No. 1 / 2005 Coll.
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 257 / 2001 Coll., on Libraries and Conditions of Operation of Public Library and Information Services (Library Act), as amended by Act No. 1 / 2005 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 3 is deleted.
2. In Paragraph 4 (1) of the Introductory Part of the provision, the word "v 'shall be deleted; at the beginning of points (a) and (c) the word" v' shall be inserted; at the beginning of point (b) the word "v 'and point (d) shall be inserted:
"(d) to allow access to information on the Internet to which the library has free access."
footnote 2 is deleted.
3. In Article 4 (3) of the introductory part of the provision, the word "v 'shall be deleted; at the beginning of points (b), (d) and (e) the word" v' shall be inserted; at the beginning of point (c) the word "v 'and point (a) shall be inserted:
"(a) to allow access to paid information on the Internet,"
4. In the second sentence of Article 24 (2), "31 December 2006 'is replaced by" 31 December 2007'.
This Act shall take effect on the 15th day following its publication.
