of 21 March 1947
taking measures to reduce the prices of certain goods of human needs and to settle the prices of other important goods.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders pursuant to § 16, paragraph 1 of the Act of 25 October 1946, No 192 Coll., on a two-year economic plan:
§ 1.
(1) In order to ensure a gradual increase in the standard of living of the people to be achieved by fulfilling the tasks set out in the two-year economic plan, consumer prices, in particular beef, will be reduced by 12 to 20%, pork and lard by 5 to 12%, smoked by 5 to 20% (in Slovakia by 8 to 20%), milk by 15 to 17%, butter by 10 to 15%, cheese by 15 to 30%, eggs by 14 to 18%, artificial edible fats by 10 to 15%, and working footwear by 20 to 25%, while these prices are reduced for special circumstances, caused by economic conditions, in particular by 30%, certain machinery, by 30%, oil and gas oils by 30%, and gas oils by 30% respectively, and the prices of other important goods are stable.
(2) The price reductions referred to in paragraph 1 shall be made in accordance with more detailed guidelines issued by the Government by the Supreme Authority in an agreement with the Ministry of Finance and other participating ministries, in Slovakia by the competent price authority in accordance with the instructions given by the Ministry of Finance in the agreement with the participating ministries and the Supreme Bureau in the price.
§ 2.
(1) The differences in prices reduced or stabilised in accordance with § 1 and prices which would otherwise have been appropriate under the provisions of § 1, will be offset by the funds provided by the Ministry of Finance until the final adjustment, implemented by law.
(2) The Government will issue a closer directive on who and how, pursuant to paragraph 1, will implement the balancing of price differences.
§ 3.
The highest price authority, in Slovakia, the competent price authority in agreement with the highest price authority, shall make a direct reduction in the prices of other goods and the remuneration for services by special measures, in particular where the assumptions for such price reductions are due to increased production and reduced distribution.
§ 4.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; All members of the government will do it.
