THE LAW
of 23 July 2025
amending Act No. 89 / 2012 Coll., Civil Code, as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:

1. In Paragraph 2829, the words "and, where appropriate, other identifying data 'shall be inserted after the words" on behalf of'.
2. The following Section 2832a is inserted after Section 2832:
(1) Where the acquired right of insurance benefits arises, the insurer shall inform the insurer of such benefits within 60 days of the date on which he becomes aware, if he is aware of the contact details of the insured person, or if he is able to identify such information from the register to which he has access. The procedure of the insurer according to the first sentence shall not without further right of the persons notified to pay the premium.
(2) Paragraph 1 shall apply mutatis mutandis where the right to benefit is acquired by one of the persons referred to in Article 2831. ';
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on 1 January 2026.
