The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that on 8 November 1999 the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic was signed in Bratislava amending certain provisions of the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of "originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation referred to in Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic of 7 December 1998 amending Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on rules of origin and methods of administrative cooperation of 22 February 1993.
The Agreement shall enter into force on 1 January 2000 on the basis of Article 3 thereof.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.
AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic amending certain provisions of the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of originating products and methods of administrative cooperation referred to in Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic of 7 December 1998 amending Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on rules of origin and methods of administrative cooperation of 22 February 1993
The Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic, pursuant to Article 9 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on rules of origin and methods of administrative cooperation, of 22 February 1993, agreed as follows:
The Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of "originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation referred to in Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic of 7 December 1998 amending the provisions of Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on rules of origin and methods of administrative cooperation of 22 February 1993 and the Annexes thereto is hereby amended in accordance with the Annex to this Agreement.
This Agreement forms an integral part of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on rules of origin and methods of administrative cooperation of 22 February 1993.
This Agreement shall enter into force on 1 January 2000.
Dane v Bratislava on 8 November 1999 in two original copies, each in the Czech and Slovak languages, both texts being equally authentic.

ANNEX
to the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic amending certain provisions of the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of "originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation referred to in Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic of 7 December 1998 amending Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on rules of origin and methods of administrative cooperation of 22 February 1993
The Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of "originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation referred to in Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic of 7 December 1998 amending Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic on rules of origin and methods of administrative cooperation of 22 February 1993 and the Annexes thereto is hereby amended as follows:
1. in Articles 21 and 26, the word "Ecu 'is replaced by the word" euro';
2. Article 30 is replaced by the following:
Amounts expressed in euro
1. The amounts in the national currency of the exporting Party corresponding to the amounts expressed in euro shall be determined by the exporting Party and communicated to the importing Party.
2. Where those amounts exceed the corresponding amounts fixed by the importing Party, they shall be recognised provided that the products are invoiced in the currency of the exporting Party. Where products are invoiced in the currency of one of the countries referred to in Article 4, the importing Party shall recognise the amount notified by that country.
3. The amounts expressed in any national currency shall be equivalent to the euro on the first working day of October 1999.
4. The amounts expressed in the euro and their equivalents in the national currencies of the Contracting Parties shall be amended if the Contracting Party so requests. When revising the Customs Union Council shall ensure that the amounts expressed in national currencies are not reduced and shall assess the need to maintain the effects of these limits in real terms. To this end, it may also decide to adjust the amounts expressed in the euro. '
Article 37 shall be deleted.
4. Annex II is amended as follows:
(a) the rule for HS heading 1904 is replaced by the following:

jinde neuvedené ani nezahrnuté
Výroba:
- z materiálů nezařazených v čísle 1806;
- v níž všechny použité obiloviny a a mouka
(vyjma tvrdou pšenici a výrobky z ní a kukuřici
odrůdy Zea Indurata) musí být zcela získány;1)
- v níž hodnota jakýchkoli použitých materiálů
kapitoly 17 nepřesahuje 30 % ceny výrobku ze závodu
1) Výjimka týkající se kukuřice odrůdy Zea Indurata se použije do 31. 12. 2002.
(b) the rule for HS heading 2207 is replaced by the following:
2207Ethylalkohol nedenaturovaný
s objemovým obsahem alkoholu 80 % vol
nebo více; ethylalkohol a ostatní destiláty
denaturované, s jakýmkoliv obsahem alkoholu
Výroba:
- používající materiály nezařazené v číslech 2207 nebo 2208,
v níž všechny použité hrozny a jakékoli materiály vyrobené
z hroznů musí být zcela získány, nebo za předpokladu,
že všechny ostatní použité materiály jsou již původní,
lze použít arak do výše 5 % objemových
(c) the rule for Chapter 57 is replaced by the following:
kapitola 57Koberce a jiné textilní podlahové krytiny:
- Z vpichované plsti
Výroba z7):
- přírodních vláken nebo
- chemických materiálů nebo textilní vlákniny
Avšak:
- polypropylenové hedvábí čísla 5402, nebo
- polypropylenová vlákna čísla 5503 nebo 5506, nebo
- polypropylenový kabel čísla 5501, jejichž délková hmotnost
je pro každé hedvábí nebo vlákno menší než 9 decitex,
lze použít za předpokladu, že jejich hodnota nepřesahuje
40 % ceny výrobku ze závodu
Jutová tkanina může být použita jako podložka
- Z jiné plstiVýroba z7):
- přírodních vláken nemykaných,
nečesaných nebo nezpracovaných jinak pro spřádání,
nebo
- chemických materiálů nebo textilní vlákniny
- Z ostatních textilních materiálůVýroba z7):
- příze z kokosových nebo jutových vláken(a),
- syntetické nebo umělé příze,
- přírodních vláken, nebo
- chemických střižových vláken, nemykaných,
nečesaných nebo nezpracovaných jinak pro spřádání

(d) the rule for HS heading 8401 is replaced by the following:
ex 8401Jaderné palivové článkyVýroba, v níž jsou všechny použité materiály
zařazeny v čísle jiném, než je číslo výrobku1)
Výroba, v níž hodnota všech použitých materiálů

(e) the following rule is inserted between the rules applicable to HS headings 9606 and 9612:
9608Kuličková pera; popisovače, značkovače a zvýrazňovače
s plstěným hrotem nebo jiným pórovitým hrotem; plnicí pera
s perem a jiná plnicí pera; rydla pro rozmnožovače; patentní tužky;
násadky na pero, držátka na tužku a podobné výrobky; části
a součásti těchto výrobků, včetně ochranných krytů a příchytek,
vyjma výrobků čísla 9609
Výroba, v níž jsou všechny použité
materiály zařazeny v čísle jiném,
než je číslo výrobku.
Avšak hroty per zařazené
ve stejném čísle mohou být použity.
