Decree of the Minister of Finance
of 12 March 1947
on the stamping and the issue of fifties.
According to Section 3 of the Order of the President of the Republic of 19 October 1945, No 91 Coll., on the renewal of the Czechoslovak currency, I shall determine:
(1) The small coins of the Czechoslovak currency after 50 pennies come from a mixture of 92 pieces of copper and 8 parts of zinc. From a kilogram of coin metal, 333 pieces of fifties are broken. The diameter of the 50th is 20 mm. During stamping, the deviation up and down is allowed in gross weight 20 / 1000 and in purity 10 / 1000.
(2) On the face of the 50th century is the state sign of the Czechoslovak Republic, around it the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVSKÁ" in two rows with a small decoration as the end and the year of the stamping.
(3) On the back of the 50th, there are two rows of ears with two lip branches wrapped in ribbons, between them the value marking is "50." On the bottom right is the name of the author "O. Spaniel."
(4) The edge of the coin is smooth; On both sides is a flat frame.
(1) The 50-year-olds will begin to issue the National Bank of Czechoslovakia at its main institute in Prague and at the Regional Institute for Slovakia in Bratislava, as well as at all its filials on the date of publication of this decree.
(2) The existing fifties remain in circulation as legal tender.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
