THE LAW
of 16 December 1998
on the issue of government bonds to cover the deficit of the state budget for 1997
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
§ 1
(1) The Ministry of Finance issues government bonds in the range of CZK 15 717 170 000 to cover the deficit of the state budget for 1997.
(2) The bonds issued pursuant to paragraph 1 are part of a government bond programme to cover the deficit of the state budget for 1997 (hereinafter referred to as the "government bond programme").
(3) This Act is without prejudice to the provision of § 4 paragraph 2 of Act No. 348 / 1997 Coll., on the State Budget of the Czech Republic for 1998.
§ 1a
(1) The purpose of the government bond programme is to pay for the deficit of the State budget for 1997.
(2) The scope of this government bond program is CZK 15 717 170 000.
(3) All liabilities arising from this sovereign bond programme will be repaid within 15 years of the effective date of Act No. 328 / 1998 Coll.
(4) The Ministry of Finance is authorised to issue various government bonds with different emission conditions in the framework of the implementation of this sovereign bond programme.
§ 2
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
