THE LAW
of 9 December 1999
amending Act No. 140 / 1961 Coll., Criminal Act, as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 140 / 1961 Coll., as amended by Act No. 120 / 1962 Coll., Act No. 53 / 1963 Coll., Act No. 56 / 1965 Coll., Act No. 81 / 1966 Coll., Act No. 148 / 1969 Coll., Act No. 45 / 1973 Coll., Act No. 94 / 1980 Coll., Act No. 175 / 1990 Coll., Act No. 457 / 1990 Coll., Act No. 93 / 1992 Coll., Act No. 290 / 1994 Coll., Act No. 47 / 1991 Coll., Act No. 557 / 1991 Coll.
1. In Paragraph 67 (1) (b), the first words "10 years' are replaced by" 12 years'.
2. In Section 67a, the dot at the end of point (c) is replaced by a comma and the following point (d) is added:
"(d) other offences committed between 25 February 1948 and 29 December 1989 where the upper limits of the criminal prison rates are at least 10 years old, unless, for political reasons incompatible with the fundamental principles of the rule of law of the democratic state, there has been a final conviction or acquittal and either been committed by public officials or committed in connection with the persecution of an individual or group of persons for political, racial or religious reasons."
This Law shall take effect on 28 December 1999.
