COMMUNICATION
Czech Statistical Office
of 9 September 2003
on the introduction of the classification of tribal fields of education (KKOV)
The Czech Statistical Office, pursuant to § 19 (2) of Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on the State Statistical Service, as amended, introduces with effect from 1 October 2003 the Classification of Tribal Areas of Education (hereinafter referred to as "KKOV ') including amendments and additions.
The subjects of KKOV are tribal fields of education which define individual areas or sub-sections of education on the basis of their content similarity or differences. KKOV is a basic systematic tool for statistical monitoring and analysis of population structure according to the educational attainment and content similarity of preparation (direction of study). KKOV is mandatory for statistical surveys carried out pursuant to Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on the State Statistical Service, as amended, and in cases where specific legislation so provides. KKOV will replace the existing classification of tribal fields of education, which was issued by measures of the Czech Statistical Office of 16 June 1998 published in the amount 68 / 1998 Coll., including its changes and updates.
The valid version of KKOV, including its update (changes and additions), is available on the electronic medium in the Czech Statistical Office Information Services Department, Josefská 6, Praha 1 and on the CSU website at www.czso.cz.
