on updating the Sectoral Classification of Economic Activities (NACE)
The Czech Statistical Office announces, with effect from 1 September 2005, the update of the Sectoral Classification of Economic Activities (hereinafter referred to as "the NACE '), issued by the Communication of the Czech Statistical Office No. 486 / 2003 Coll. of 18 December 2003.
The update of the OKEČ is made at the request of the Ministry of Finance and relates to class 52.61 - Retail through a mail delivery service, which will be divided into 2 subclasses: 52.61 1 - Retail via the Internet and 52.61 9 - Retail through a mail delivery service other than via the Internet. The amendment to the classification of the NACE is set out in the Annex to this communication.
The valid version of the updated NACE will be published on the Czech Statistical Office website at www.czso.cz.

Sub-class 52.61 1 - Retail via the Internet includes e-commerce via the Internet, where goods are selected on the Internet, paid by electronic banking or by other means (e.g. cash on receipt of goods, by delivery, by bank transfer), and supplied by courier service or by a transport company provided by the internet.
