DECLARATION
Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs
of 10 December 1993
on reimbursement for the provision of social care in medical establishments
According to Section 177a (3) of Act No. 100 / 1988 Coll., on Social Security, as amended by Act No. 307 / 1993 Coll., in agreement with the Ministry of Health:
They shall bear part of the costs of providing social care in a healthcare establishment:
a) a citizen in the amount of CZK 55 per day,
(b) the competent district office1) in the amount of CZK 245 per day per citizen.
(1) Reimbursement under Paragraph 1 (a) is not required of a citizen under 18 years of age.
(2) In the cases referred to in paragraph 1, the competent district offices1) shall pay part of the costs of CZK 300 per day per citizen.
Reimbursement under Section 1 (a) shall not be required for the days of residence of the citizen outside the medical establishment. The day on which the citizen stays outside the health care institution is considered to be the day on which he does not take any food.
The reimbursement referred to in Article 1 or Article 2 (2) shall be paid on a monthly basis to the medical institution in which the citizen is located and payable no later than eight days after the end of the calendar month for which he belongs.
If the provision of social care in a healthcare establishment ends during a calendar month and the payment referred to in Article 1 or Article 2 (2) has already been paid for the whole of the month, the healthcare establishment shall reimburse the payment for the days on which social care has not been provided. According to the previous sentence, it shall be treated mutatis mutandis if the payment provided for in Article 1 (a) has been paid also for the days of residence of the citizen outside the medical establishment.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 1994.
