amending certain provisions of the Slovak National Council Act on elections to the Slovak National Council
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
The Act of the Slovak National Council No. 7 / 1954 Coll. SNR on Elections to the Slovak National Council as amended by the Act of the Slovak National Council No. 38 / 1960 Coll. is amended as follows:
Article 11 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) The list of electoral districts for elections to the Slovak National Council shall be published by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council no later than 60 days before the election date. '
2. Paragraph 13, including the title, reads:
Slovak Election Commission for Election to the Slovak National Council
(1) For the management of the elections to the Slovak National Council, the Bureau of the Slovak National Council shall establish the Slovak Election Commission for the Slovak National Council no later than 55 days before the election date.
(2) The Slovak Election Commission for the elections to the Slovak National Council consists of the President, his Deputy Secretary, the Secretary and the necessary number of other members.
(3) The Slovak Election Commission for the elections to the Slovak National Council will be formed from representatives of the Communist Party of Slovakia and the workers' organisations, which are grouped in the Slovak National Front. The proposal of representatives is submitted by the Central Committee of the Slovak National Front.
(4) If elections to the Slovak National Council take place on the same day as elections to the National Assembly, the Slovak Election Commission shall simultaneously perform in Slovakia the tasks of the Slovak Election Commission for the National Assembly as the authority of the Central Election Commission for the National Assembly. '

"(e) forward the files on the elections to the mandate committee of the Slovak National Council."
4. Article 27 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) The date of the elections to the Slovak National Council shall be determined by the Bureau of the National Assembly no later than 60 days ahead. '

Supplementary Options
(1) If, for any reason, a member of the Slovak National Council is vacant, the Bureau of the Slovak National Council shall determine the supplementary elections. The supplementary elections shall take place no later than 90 days after the vacancy of the Member of the Slovak National Council.
(2) For the management of the supplementary elections, the Bureau of the Slovak National Council for the entire term of the Slovak National Council shall set up the Slovak Election Commission for the Addition Election. The Commission shall consist of the President, his Deputy Secretary, the Secretary and a further six members. '
6. Paragraph 48, including the title, reads:
Loss of membership
Member of the Slovak National Council, who has ceased to be elective, loses membership of the Slovak National Council. The Slovak National Council shall decide on the loss of membership on the proposal of its mandate committee. '
7. Paragraph 49, including the title, reads:
Verification of elections
The election of individual members of the Slovak National Council shall be verified by the Slovak National Council in its first meeting on the proposal of its mandate committee. '
Wherever the name "Central Election Commission for the Slovak National Council" is used in the law, it is replaced by "Slovak Election Commission for the Slovak National Council."
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication; it shall be carried out by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
