THE LAW
of 18 November 1999
amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on insurance of liability for damage caused by the operation of a vehicle and amending certain related laws (Act on insurance of liability from the operation of a vehicle)
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on insurance of liability for damage caused by the operation of a vehicle and amending certain related laws (Act on insurance of liability from the operation of a vehicle) is amended as follows:
1. in Article 5 (1) (b), the words "priority driving 13)" shall be replaced by the words "priority driving, 13) including their trailers," and the words "(hereinafter referred to as" vehicle of the Integrated Rescue System Component ")" shall be deleted;
2. In Article 5 (1), the dot at the end of point (b) is replaced by a comma and the following point (c) is added:
"(c) Security information service for vehicles operated by it, the Ministry of Defence for vehicles operated by Military Intelligence and the Ministry of Interior for vehicles operated by the Office of Foreign Relations and Information and for vehicles of the Police of the Czech Republic, police services for the detection of corruption and serious economic crime, vehicles of services of the criminal police and the municipality for vehicles operated by units of voluntary fire fighters of the municipality."
3. Paragraph 5 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) The Ministry shall issue a green card to the vehicle referred to in paragraph 1 (b) and (c) (" the vehicle with the exception of liability insurance "). If the reason for which a green card was issued to a vehicle with the exception of liability insurance is lost, the person who operates such a vehicle shall return the green card to the Ministry. '.
4. Paragraph 11 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) The damage caused by the operation of the vehicle, with the exception of liability insurance, shall be reimbursed by the Ministry.";
5. In Paragraph 11 (2), the first and second sentences are replaced by the following: "The manner and extent of compensation in the cases referred to in paragraph 1 shall be governed by a separate law. 15) A person operating a vehicle with the exception of liability insurance is required to notify the Ministry of the facts pursuant to § 8 (1) and (2)."
6. In the first sentence of Article 11 (3), the words "the components of the Integrated Rescue System 'are replaced by the words" except for liability insurance'.
7. In the first sentence of Paragraph 11 (4), the words "an integrated rescue system component 'are replaced by the words" a person operating a vehicle with the exception of liability insurance' and the words "an integrated rescue system component 'are replaced by the words" that person'.
8. In Paragraph 15 (1), the second sentence is replaced by the following: "This shall not apply where the vehicle is subject to liability insurance."
9. In the second sentence of Paragraph 17, the words "the components of the Integrated Rescue System 'are replaced by" except for liability insurance'.
10. in Paragraph 24 (8) (a), the words "State body" shall be replaced by "except for liability insurance."
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
