Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that an arrangement was negotiated between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on the establishment of tourist paths intersecting national borders in exchange for notes of 12 and 25 September 1996 in Bonn and Prague.
The Arrangement entered into force on 25 September 1996.
The Czech version of the Czech note and the translation of the German note are announced simultaneously.

VERBAL NOTE
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the honour of telling the Czech Embassy the following:
1. In the framework of the expert meetings in Prague on 2 and 3 July 1996, the two parties agreed to open six other tourist paths intersecting common national borders on 1 October 1996.
In accordance with Article 3 (1), sentences 1 and 2 of the Agreement between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Czech Republic on small border traffic on tourist routes and in tourist zones and on the crossing of national borders in specific cases of 3 November 1994 (hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement '), it is proposed to conclude an Arrangement on the following tourist routes and their marked regime and opening times:

Note:
1) Carriages for the disabled with combustion engines are not allowed.
The crossing of national borders on tourist trails is generally permitted daily
from 06.00 to 22.00 between 1 April and 30 September, and
from 08.00 to 18.00 from 1 October to 31 March.
Bischofsreuth (Marchhäuser) - České Žleby / Böhmisch Röhren is allowed to cross national borders daily
from 06.00 to 22.00 between 1 April and 30 September, and
from 08.00 to 18.00 from 1 October to 31 October.
If the Government of the Czech Republic gives its consent to this proposal, this note and the relevant note will form the relevant Arrangement, which will enter into force on the date of receipt of the relevant note by the Government of the Czech Republic.
2. As agreed in the framework of the expert meetings in Prague on 2 and 3 July 1996, it is proposed to abolish the tourist routes Neurehefeld - Moldova / Moldova on border section XI and Bad Elster - Doubrava / Grün on border section XXIII, the use of which became irrelevant after the opening of the border crossings Neurehefeld - Moldova / Moldova and Bad Elster - Doubrava / Grün.
If the Government of the Czech Republic gives its consent to this proposal, this note and the relevant note will form the relevant Arrangement, which will enter into force on the date of receipt of the relevant note by the Government of the Czech Republic.
3. At the same time, the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany shall communicate to the Government of the Czech Republic, in accordance with Article 3 (1) (3) of the Agreement, the course of tourist trails on the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany:

Tourist trail Bischofsreut (Marchhäuser) - České Žleby / Böhmisch Röhren takes place from the intersection in border section XII between the intermediate boundary markers 5 / 4 and 5 / 5 in the western direction through Marchhäuser to Bischofsreut ("Goldener Steig").
Part of State Borders with the Free State of Saxony
Tourist trail Bad Elster (Bärenloh) - The border / Roßbach takes place from the intersection in border section XXIII between the main border markers 6 and 7 in the eastern direction to Bad Elster (Vogtland County).
The tourist trail Jöhstadt - Černý Potok / Pleyl takes place from the intersection in border section XV between the main border signs 9 and 10 in the northern direction to Jöhstadt (the county district Annaberg).
The Holzhau - Moldova / Moldova tourist trail takes place from the intersection of border section XI at the main border sign 8 in the Freiberger Mulde area northwest via Teichhaus to Holzhau (Freiberg county).
Hiking trail Hinterhermsdorf - The rear Doubice / Hinterdaubitz takes place from the intersection at border section VI at the main border sign 24 in the western direction to Hinterhermsdorf (county Saxon Switzerland).
Hiking trail Hinterhermsdorf - Mikulášovice / Nixdorf takes place from the intersection in border section VI at the main border sign 17 in the south direction to Hinterhermsdorf (the county of Saxony Switzerland).
Oybin Tourist Path (Hain) - Krompach / Krombach takes place from the intersection in the border section Even between the main border markers 17 and 18 in the northeast direction to Oybin (Löbau-Zittau county).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs uses this opportunity to reassure the Czech Embassy of its deep respect.

If the Government of the Czech Republic gives its consent to this proposal, this note and the relevant note will form the relevant Arrangement, which will enter into force on the date of receipt of the relevant note by the Government of the Czech Republic.
2. As agreed in the framework of the expert meetings in Prague on 2 and 3 July 1996, it is proposed to abolish the tourist routes of Moldova - Neurehefeld in border section XI and Doubrava - Bad Elster in border section XXIII, the use of which became irrelevant after the opening of the border crossings of Moldova - Neurehefeld and Doubrava - Bad Elster.
If the Government of the Czech Republic agrees to this proposal, this note and the relevant note will form the relevant Arrangement, which will enter into force on the date of receipt of the responsible note by the Government of the Czech Republic.
3. At the same time, the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany shall communicate to the Government of the Czech Republic, in accordance with Article 3 (1) (3) of the Agreement, the course of tourist trails on the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic has the honour to state that the Government of the Czech Republic agrees with the proposals of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. Accordingly, the notice of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and this note of the Arrangement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on the establishment of hiking trails, which will enter into force on 25 September 1996 and will be valid for the duration of the Agreement.
At the same time, the Government of the Czech Republic shall communicate to the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, in accordance with Article 3 (1) (3) of the Agreement, the course of tourist paths on the territory of the Czech Republic:

The tourist trail of České Žleby - Bischofsreut (Marchhäuser) takes place from the intersection in border section XII between the intermediate border signs 5 / 4 and 5 / 5 (bridge over the Mechůvá potok) via Mlaka and Kamennou head to České Žleb.
Part of State Borders with the Free State of Saxony
The tourist trail Hranice - Bad Elster (Bärenloh) takes place from the intersection in border section XXIII between the main border signs 6 and 7 to the communication to Hranice.
The tourist trail Černý Potok - Jöhstadt takes place from the intersection in border section XV between the main border signs 9 and 10 to the communication to Černý Potok.
The Moldava - Holzhau tourist trail takes place from the intersection in border section XI at the main border sign 8 along the Moldavia creek to Moldova.
The tourist trail Zadní Doubice - Hinterhermsdorf takes place from the intersection in border section VI at the main border sign 24 to the border bridge, to the communication of Kyjov valley to Kyjov.
The hiking trail of Mikulášovice - Hinterhermsdorf takes place from the intersection in border section VI at the main border sign 17 along the border hill to Mikulášovice.
Tourist trail Krompach - Oybin (Hain) takes place from the intersection in the border section Even between the main border markers 17 and 18 after communication to Krompach.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic uses this opportunity to reassure the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany with its respect.
