THE LAW
of 16 August 2017
amending certain laws relating to the abolition of public utility status
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Amendment of the Civil Code
Act No. 89 / 2012 Coll., Civil Code, as amended by Act No. 460 / 2016 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. paragraphs 147 to 150 and 231 are deleted;
2. In Article 272 (1), the second sentence is deleted.
Amendment of the Law on judicial fees

Amendment to the Act on churches and religious societies
Act No. 3 / 2002 Coll., on the freedom of religion and the status of churches and religious societies and on the amendment of certain laws (Act on churches and religious societies), as amended by the Constitutional Court Act No. 4 / 2003 Coll., Act No. 562 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 495 / 2005 Coll., Act No. 296 / 2007 Coll., Act No. 129 / 2008 Coll., Act No. 41 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 227 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 375 / 2011 Coll., Act No. 420 / 2011 Coll., Act No. 428 / 2012 Coll., Act No. 303 / 2013 Coll. and Act No. 192 / 2016 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 15a (5) is deleted.
2. Paragraph 17 (6) is deleted.
Paragraphs 7 to 9 shall be renumbered paragraphs 6 to 8.
3. In Paragraph 18 (1), the comma at the end of point (i) is replaced by a dot and point (j) is deleted.
4. In Paragraph 19 (1), the comma at the end of point (i) is replaced by a dot and point (j) is deleted.
5. In Paragraph 20 (1), the comma at the end of point (j) is replaced by a dot and point (k) is deleted.
Amendment of the Act on public registers of legal and natural persons
Act No. 304 / 2013 Coll., on public registers of legal and natural persons and on the registration of trust funds, as amended by Act No. 87 / 2015 Coll., Act No. 192 / 2016 Coll., Act No. 298 / 2016 Coll., Act No. 368 / 2016 Coll. and Act No. 460 / 2016 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. In Article 7 (1), the words "a 'and (i) shall be added at the end of point (h).
Point (j) shall be renumbered (i).
2. Paragraph 25 (1) (j) is deleted.
Points (k) and (l) shall become points (j) and (k).
Amendment to the Law on Special Proceedings
Act No. 292 / 2013 Coll., on Special Proceedings of the Court, as amended by Act No. 87 / 2015 Coll., Act No. 161 / 2016 Coll., Act No. 189 / 2016 Coll., Act No. 298 / 2016 Coll., the Constitutional Court found, published under No. 334 / 2016 Coll. and Act No. 460 / 2016 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. in Article 3 (2) (a), the comma before the word "conversion" shall be replaced by "a" and the words "and questions of public utility status" shall be deleted;
2. in Paragraph 85 (a), the comma before the word "conversion" shall be replaced by "a" and the words "and public utility status issues" shall be deleted;
3. Paragraph 87 shall be deleted, including the title.
4. Paragraph 89 (2) is deleted and paragraph 1 is deleted.
5. Paragraph 90 (1) is deleted.
Paragraphs 2 and 3 shall be renumbered paragraphs 1 and 2.
6. Article 93 shall be deleted, including the title.
Amendment of the Association Act in political parties and political movements
In Article 17 (7) of Act No. 424 / 1991 Coll., on association in political parties and political movements, as amended by Act No. 302 / 2016 Coll., the first sentence is deleted.
Amendment of the Higher Education Act
In Article 40 (2) of Act No. 111 / 1998 Coll., on Higher Education and on the amendment and addition of other laws (Act on Higher Education), as amended by Act No. 552 / 2005 Coll., Act No. 110 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 159 / 2010 Coll. and Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., the first sentence including footnote 12 is deleted.
Amendment of the Basic Register Act
In Article 26 (2) of Act No. 111 / 2009 Coll., on Basic Registers, as amended by Act No. 424 / 2010 Coll., Act No. 303 / 2013 Coll., Act No. 192 / 2016 Coll. and Act No. 456 / 2016 Coll., the point (u) is deleted.
Point (v) shall be renumbered as point (u).
Amendment to the Act amending the Law on Higher Education
In Part One, Article II of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., amending Act No. 111 / 1998 Coll., on Higher Education, and amending and supplementing other laws (Act on Higher Education), as amended, and certain other laws, point 2 is deleted.
Points 3 to 18 shall become points 2 to 17.
Amendment of the Consumer Credit Act
In Article 4 (3) of Act No. 257 / 2016 Coll., on Consumer Credit, the word "or 'is added at the end of point (b) and point (c) is deleted.
Point (d) shall be renumbered (c).
EFFECTIVE
This Law shall enter into force on 1 January 2018.
