GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 6 December 1995
on minimum wage
The Government mandates pursuant to § 111 (3) of the Labour Code No. 65 / 1965 Coll., as amended by Act No. 3 / 1991 Coll., and pursuant to § 4 (4) of Act No. 1 / 1992 Coll., on wages, remuneration for on-call and on average earnings, as amended by Act No. 10 / 1993 Coll.:
This Regulation provides for the provision of a minimum wage to a natural person in an employment relationship or equivalent (1) (hereinafter referred to as "the employee ').
(1) The minimum wage amount is:
a) for each hour worked by employee 48.10 CZK,
b) for the month CZK 7,955 for employees rewarded with monthly salary,
(c) 90% of the amounts referred to in points (a) and (b), if they are the first employment relationship or similar employment relationship of a staff member aged 18 to 21, for a period of 6 months from the date of the employment relationship or similar employment relationship;
(d) 80% of the amounts referred to in points (a) and (b), if it is a minor employee, 2)
(e) 75% of the amounts referred to in points (a) and (b), if the staff member is a beneficiary of a partial invalidity pension,
(f) 50% of the amounts referred to in points (a) and (b), if it is a staff member who is a beneficiary of a full invalidity pension or a young staff member who is fully disabled and does not receive a full invalidity pension.
(2) The minimum wage referred to in paragraph 1 (a) is set at 40 hours for a fixed weekly working period; for a different length of fixed weekly working time, the minimum wage shall be adjusted proportionally.
(3) Staff members who are paid a monthly salary which has an agreed or authorised shorter working period (3) or who have not worked all the working shifts in a month shall be entitled to a minimum wage equal to the time worked.
If a staff member does not reach the minimum wage due under Paragraph 2 in the calendar month, the employer will pay him the difference ("supplement ').
For domestic workers, for the purposes of this Regulation, the hours worked shall be the hours worked according to the standard of labour consumption laid down by the employer. 6)

This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1996.
