of 7 August 2001
on the approval of technical competence and on technical conditions for the operation of road vehicles
The Ministry of Transport and Communications ("the Ministry ') provides, pursuant to § 91 (1) of Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., on the conditions of operation of vehicles on the road and amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on liability insurance for damage caused by the operation of a vehicle and on the amendment of certain related laws (Act on the insurance of liability from the operation of a vehicle), as amended by Act No. 307 / 1999 Coll., (" the Act') to implement § 2 (5) to (8), § 76 (1), § 78 (1), § 79 (5) and § 87 of the Act:
INTRODUCTORY PROVISIONS
Basic concepts
For the purposes of this decree:
(a) a motor vehicle of a vehicle moving on the road by means of its own motor power;
(b) by a non-motor vehicle, a vehicle moving on the road by means of human or animal power;
(c) a combination of a motor vehicle ("towing vehicle") with one or more trailers;
(d) a fixed superstructure of a vehicle, a separate technical unit which is assembled with the parent vehicle (chassis) and is part of the vehicle;
(e) the replacement superstructure of a separate technical unit, which is in a detachable connection with the basic vehicle (carrier of the replacement superstructures);
(f) a certificate of approval of a document attesting to the conformity of the vehicle system type, vehicle component type or vehicle separate technical unit type with the technical requirements laid down by the regulations issued under an international contract to which the Czech Republic is bound (1) (hereinafter referred to as the "approval regulation"),
(g) the vehicle identification number (hereinafter referred to as "VIN") a number of characters, numbers and letters specific to the vehicle;
(h) a certificate of EC type-approval of a document issued by a Member State of the European Union certifying conformity of the characteristics of a vehicle type, a vehicle system type, a vehicle component type or a vehicle separate technical unit type with the technical requirements laid down by the provisions laid down by the European Communities (hereinafter referred to as the "Directive of the European Communities"),
(i) the technical regulation of the certification regulation, the Directives of the European Communities and the technical standard laid down in the regulatory base and defined in the information document;
(j) by a technical protocol, a document drawn up by an authorised test or test station showing at all times the conformity of the data submitted by the applicant for the approval of the technical suitability of a vehicle type or individual vehicle or the authorisation to convert the vehicle into vehicle data; the data shall be reported to the extent of the data contained in the vehicle technical licence;
(k) the maximum authorised mass the mass with which the vehicle may be used in road traffic;
(l) the maximum technically permissible axle mass corresponding to the maximum technically permissible static vertical load by which the vehicle's axle is applied to the road surface;
(m) the largest technically permissible vehicle mass, the mass of the vehicle given by its structure and the mass of the load as specified by the vehicle manufacturer;
(n) the largest technically permissible mass of the combination, the sum of the largest technically permissible masses of towing vehicles and trailers;
(o) the instantaneous mass of the vehicle or combination of vehicles recorded at a certain point in time on the road.
TECHNICAL ELIGIBILITY APPROVAL
Approval of technical competence of a vehicle type
(Paragraph 19 (8) of the Act)
(1) The technical capability of a vehicle type shall be approved if the vehicle complies with the technical requirements laid down in the regulatory base and, where applicable, the conditions laid down for certain types of transports.2)
(2) The information folder supported by the manufacturer's application for the approval of a vehicle type shall include the documentation for the processing of the basic technical description of the vehicle type approved, the specification of the tyres and rims applicable (dimensions, load capacity, speed categories, etc.), the list of the essential and alternative features, indicating its mass and the manufacturer's declaration that the vehicle complies with the technical conditions laid down by law and implementing regulations. Such documents, other than the manufacturer's declaration, may be made electronically.
(3) If the manufacturer requests an exemption from the technical requirements, he shall specify and justify the exemption in the application for type-approval of a vehicle type.
(4) In cases where a certificate of approval or approval has not been submitted for vehicle components and vehicle systems in accordance with the technical Annexes to the Directives of the European Communities or their installation is not subject to approval or approval in accordance with the technical Annexes to the Directives of the European Communities, it shall be verified, when the vehicle type is approved on a selected sample of vehicles of the type approved, that the vehicle components and systems and their installation comply with the technical requirements set out in the regulatory base and defined in the information document.
(5) In addition, when type-approval of a vehicle type, it shall be verified that the vehicle specifications referred to in the basic technical description conform to the overall technical description of the vehicle contained in the information document and to the certificates of partial approval tests and to the certificates of approval.
(6) The activities referred to in paragraphs 5 and 6 may be carried out using tests and checks carried out by the competent authorities (Section 19 (7) of the Act).
(7) Where a vehicle type includes different variants of the vehicle type and variants of the vehicle type, the tests and checks referred to in paragraph 5 shall be carried out on samples of vehicles corresponding to the variants of the vehicle type and versions of the variants of the vehicle type.
Multi-stage approval of a type of road vehicle
(Paragraph 18 (4) of the Law)
(1) The technical capability of the base vehicle shall be approved if the vehicle meets the technical requirements laid down for this production stage by the regulatory base at the production stage reached.
(2) For the approval of a multi-stage type of road vehicle, the manufacturer of the base vehicle and the manufacturer at each subsequent stage of production of the vehicle shall be responsible for the conformity of the part of the vehicle produced by it with the technical requirements laid down in the regulatory base.
(3) The application for approval of the technical suitability of the vehicle at the relevant stage of manufacture shall be submitted by the manufacturer. The data in the application shall correspond to the level of production achieved.
(4) The manufacturer at the following stages of production shall be bound by the conditions laid down by the manufacturer at the previous stage of production.
(5) Inspection and testing activities in multi-stage type-approval of a vehicle type may be carried out by the Ministry using tests and checks carried out by the competent authorities.
Approval of a type of vehicle system, vehicle component and separate technical unit
(Paragraph 19 (8) of the Act)
(1) The technical competence of a vehicle system, a vehicle component type and a vehicle separate technical unit type intended for a vehicle for which the technical competence of a vehicle is approved shall be demonstrated by a type-approval certificate or an approval certificate according to the technical annexes to the specific legislature1) or an EC type-approval certificate or an approval certificate according to the technical Annexes to the Directives of the European Communities.
(2) In cases where the technical capability of a vehicle system type, a vehicle component type and a vehicle separate technical unit type is not demonstrated in accordance with paragraph 1, the technical capability of a vehicle system type, a vehicle component type and a vehicle separate technical unit type shall be approved if it complies with the technical requirements laid down in the regulatory base and, where appropriate, the conditions laid down for certain types of transport by special legislation.2)
(3) The application for approval of a type of vehicle system, a type of component of a vehicle or a type of separate technical unit of a vehicle shall be submitted by the applicant to the Ministry, directly or through the appropriate approved service. Paragraph 2 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the application for approval of technical competence under paragraph 2.
Approval of the technical competence of a road vehicle type produced in a small series
(Paragraph 19 (8) of the Act)
(1) The technical competence of a road vehicle type produced in a small series shall be approved if the vehicle complies with the technical requirements laid down in the regulatory base and, where applicable, the conditions laid down for certain types of transports.2)
(2) Paragraph 2 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the approval of a type of road vehicle produced in a small series.
(3) When approving the technical competence of a road vehicle produced in a small series, destructive tests shall not be carried out unless the Ministry requests them for specific reasons.
(4) The procedure laid down in paragraphs 1 to 3 shall also apply to the approval of the technical competence of an imported road vehicle produced abroad in a small series.
Approval of the technical competence of an individually manufactured road vehicle
(Articles 31 (1) and (2) and 33 (2) of the Law)
(1) The technical competence of a individually manufactured road vehicle shall be approved if it fulfils the conditions imposed in the decision authorising its production and the technical requirements laid down in the regulatory base and defined in the information document.
(2) Paragraph 2 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the application for the approval of the technical competence of a individually manufactured road vehicle.
(3) Where exceptions to the technical requirements laid down by the regulatory base are permitted in the information document, the district office shall indicate those exceptions in the technical licence of the road motor vehicle and trailer.
(4) A technical certificate of the road vehicle shall be issued for a road vehicle individually manufactured which is not subject to registration. For the purposes of the operation of this vehicle on the road, an extract from the technical certificate of the road vehicle is issued, which is demonstrated by its operator during the inspection carried out by the Czech Police during the supervision of road safety and continuity; This does not apply to bicycles. The model of the technical certificate of a road vehicle not subject to registration and the extract thereof are set out in Annex 1.
Approval of the technical competence of a special vehicle
(Articles 78 (1) and 79 (5) of the Law)
(1) The approval of the technical competence of a specific vehicle type as well as the individual production or imported special vehicle shall be subject to compliance with the technical requirements set out in the regulatory base and defined in the information document.
(2) Paragraph 2 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the application for approval of a type of special vehicle.
(3) A technical certificate for a special vehicle which is not subject to registration shall be issued. For the purposes of the operation of this vehicle on the road, an extract from the technical certificate of the special vehicle is issued, which is demonstrated by its operator during the inspection carried out by the Czech Police in the supervision of road safety and continuity. The model of the technical certificate of a special vehicle not subject to registration and the extract thereof are set out in Annex 2.
Model of type-approval certificate
(Paragraph 19 (5) of the Law)
(1) The type-approval certificate is a special form with A4-format security features containing information on the person who issued the certificate and on the vehicle type, vehicle system type, vehicle component type and vehicle separate technical unit type on which the certificate was issued.
(2) The model of the type-approval certificate is set out in Annex 3.
Labelling of the vehicle, vehicle component and separate technical unit
(Paragraph 25 (2) of the Law)
(1) Vehicles of categories M, N, O and L are marked with a production label indicating the EC type-approval number or the approval number of a vehicle type in the Czech Republic. In addition, the VIN number shall be indicated on the frame or body of the vehicle. In the case of multi-stage vehicles, one VIN number shall be given on the parent vehicle, on all other stages of production and on the completed vehicle. The manufacturer of each superstructure may be assigned a separate VIN number for superstructure.
(2) A motor vehicle and its trailer of a category other than that referred to in paragraph 1 and a special vehicle shall be marked in a readily accessible position at the front of the vehicle with a production label containing:
(a) an indication of the vehicle manufacturer,
(b) vehicle serial number,
(c) the maximum technically permissible mass of the vehicle, the maximum technically permissible mass per axle and, for towing vehicles, the maximum technically permissible mass of the whole combination;
(d) the approval number of a vehicle type, if approved by the Ministry.
(3) Each component of a vehicle or separate technical unit of a vehicle which has been type-approved shall be marked with an approval mark in accordance with the type-approval regulation or Directive of the European Communities under which the technical capability of its type has been approved. If the technical capability of a vehicle component type or a vehicle separate technical unit type has been approved in accordance with the technical protocol, the approval mark shall indicate the letter "E 'or" e' of the letter "CZ 'and the approval number of the vehicle component or vehicle separate technical unit type.
(4) In the multi-stage production of the vehicle, at the second and subsequent stages of the production of the vehicle, a supplementary label shall be affixed to the mandatory label referred to in paragraph 1 containing the particulars listed in Annex 4.
(5) The indications on the labels referred to in paragraphs 1, 2 and 4 are clearly and indelibly marked and must not be easily removable.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNICAL CONDITIONS
Technical requirements for vehicle system type, vehicle component type and vehicle separate technical unit type
(K § 2 paragraphs 5, 6 and 7 of the Act)
(1) The type of vehicle system, the type of vehicle component and the type of separate technical unit of the vehicle shall be approved by the Ministry if they meet the technical requirements laid down in the regulatory base.
(2) The technical provisions governing the technical requirements for the type of vehicle system, the type of vehicle component and the type of separate technical unit of the vehicle intended for installation on the vehicle are set out in the information document (Section 15 (3) of the Act).
Technical requirements for the design of vehicles of categories M, N, O
(K § 2 (8) of the Act)
(1) The technical requirements set out in paragraphs 2 and 3 apply to all vehicles of categories M and N powered by an internal combustion engine or an electric motor intended for use on the road, having a maximum design speed exceeding 25 km.h-1, and to vehicles of category O. The technical requirements also apply to incomplete vehicles.
(2) For the type-approval of vehicles referred to in paragraph 1,
(a) each system, component or separate technical unit of the vehicle shall comply with the requirements of Section 10;
(b) for a system, component or separate technical unit of a vehicle for which no type approval is granted, approval shall be required in accordance with the technical requirements laid down in the technical Annexes to the relevant Directive of the European Communities or approval in accordance with the provisions of this Directive;
(c) the type-approval of a vehicle as a whole pursuant to Directive 70 / 156 / EEC shall replace all sub-approvals in accordance with the provisions of the approval regulations or Directives of the European Communities.
(3) The homologation rules and directives of the European Communities which form the regulatory basis for vehicles of categories M, N and O are set out in Annex 5.
(4) For vehicles referred to in paragraph 1 which have a maximum design speed of not more than 25 km.h-1, the Ministry shall determine which of the requirements referred to in paragraphs 2 and 3 shall apply to those vehicles, as appropriate.
(5) The information document shall specify the technical requirements for vehicles of categories M2 and M3 of the urban bus class which, if the vehicle complies with them, will allow for a barrier-free modification of the vehicle for the carriage of persons with reduced mobility.
Technical requirements for the design of vehicles of category L
(K § 2 (8) of the Act)
(1) The technical requirements laid down in paragraphs 2 and 3 apply to all L-category vehicles powered by an internal combustion engine or an electric motor intended for use on the road and to their trailers. Technical requirements apply also to incomplete vehicles.
(2) For the type-approval of vehicles referred to in paragraph 1,
(a) each system, component or separate technical unit shall comply with the requirements of Section 10;
(b) for a system, component or separate technical unit of a vehicle for which no type approval is granted, approval shall be required in accordance with the technical requirements laid down in the technical Annexes to the relevant Directive of the European Communities or approval in accordance with the provisions of this Directive;
(c) the type-approval of a vehicle as a whole pursuant to Directive 92 / 61 / EEC shall replace all sub-type-approval according to the type-approval rules or Directives of the European Communities.
(3) The homologation rules and directives of the European Communities which form the regulatory basis for L-category vehicles are set out in Annex 6.
Technical requirements for the design of vehicles of categories T, OT
(K § 2 (8) of the Act)
(1) The technical requirements laid down in paragraph 3 apply to all vehicles of category T, namely two and more agricultural and forestry wheeled tractors (hereinafter "tractors") fitted with tyres whose maximum design speed does not normally exceed 40 km.h-1
(2) For tractors with a maximum design speed exceeding 40 km.h-1, the provisions of paragraph 3 shall apply, provided that these vehicles are adequately conditioned with the possible use of shock absorbers and stabilisers. With regard to the braking equipment, these vehicles shall comply with the requirements laid down in ECE Regulation No 13.
(3) For the approval of a vehicle type pursuant to paragraphs 1 and 2,
(a) each system, component or separate technical unit of the vehicle shall comply with the requirements of Section 10;
(b) the type-approval of the vehicle as a whole pursuant to Directive 74 / 150 / EEC shall replace all sub-type-approval according to the type-approval rules or Directives of the European Communities.
(4) Tractor trailers and semi-trailers are trailers of categories OT1, OT2, OT3, OT4 intended for the carriage of cargo. Their maximum design speed shall not exceed 40 km.h-1.
(5) The homologation rules and directives of the European Communities which form the regulatory basis for the vehicles referred to in paragraphs 1, 2 and 4 are set out in Annex 5.
Technical requirements for the construction of special vehicles of categories SS, SP and work machines carried
(K § 2 (8) of the Act)
(1) For category SP vehicles intended to be connected to a combination of vehicles of category M or N, the technical requirements laid down for category O vehicles shall apply.
(2) Working machines carried are machines intended only for the pursuit of certain work activities which are suspended on the road and which form a whole with it. Their running gear, if fitted, is not in contact with the ground in the transport position.
(3) The technical requirements for vehicles and machines referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 are set out in the technical standards specified in the regulatory base defined in the information document. The homologation rules and directives of the European Communities which form the regulatory basis for vehicles of category SS are set out in Annex 5.
Technical requirements for the construction of non-axle tractors with trailers
(K § 78 (1) of the Act)
(1) A single axle tractor is a vehicle with a driven axle that can be driven by handlebars that can only be used on the road with a trailer with which the tractor forms a combination. The driver sits in the trailer seat while driving. When driving, the tractor handlebar position may not be such as to prevent the simultaneous holding of both handles.
(2) The technical requirements for a non-axle tractor with a trailer are set out in the technical standards laid down in the regulatory base defined in the information document.
Technical requirements for bicycles, coated vehicles and hand trucks
(1) The condition for the use of a bicycle and a bicycle with auxiliary motor in use on the road is its equipment
(a) two independent effective brakes with a graduated braking performance control; bicycles for pre-school children equipped with free charge with anti-pedal brake need not be fitted with front brake,
(b) a clearly sounding bell or similar device;
(c) in the absence of reduced visibility, a white front retro-reflector, a red rear retro-reflector and orange retro-reflectors on the pedals and the wheels; such retro-reflectors may be replaced by retro-reflective materials of similar characteristics and may be placed on clothing or footwear by cyclists,
(d) under reduced visibility by the retro-reflectors referred to in (c), followed by a headlamp illuminating forward with a white light and a lamp illuminating rearward with a steady or intermittent red light.
(2) Paragraph 1 (b) shall not apply to bicycles used in road traffic by a participant in a sporting event.
(3) The condition of the operation of the coating vehicle on the road is its equipment
(a) at least once with an easy, fast and safe operation;
(b) two white retro-reflectors at the front and two red retro-reflectors identical and identical to those prescribed for trailers;
(c) under reduced visibility at the front by a lamp with white light on the side which is added to the centre of the road or by two lamps with white light on each side of the vehicle indicating its greatest position width; In the rear, two lamps with red light on each side of the vehicle indicating its greatest contour width.
(4) The condition of operation of a hand trolley with a width exceeding 0,6 m on the road is that it is equipped with red retro-reflectors of a non-triangular shape placed symmetrically as close as possible to the side edges of the trolley at the same level above the ground.
CONSTRUCTION OF THE STRONG VEHICLE
Conditions for rebuilding a road vehicle
(Paragraph 74 (1) of the Law)
(1) The converted vehicle shall comply with the technical requirements that were in force at the time of its manufacture, or the technical requirements of the later prescriptions specified in the regulatory base for the vehicle type of the type and category concerned.
(2) When authorising the conversion of an individual vehicle, it shall be treated in a similar manner to the approval of the technical competence of an individual vehicle and in the authorisation of the mass conversion of vehicles, i.e. more than 5 vehicles of one type, as when approving the technical competence of a vehicle.
(3) The District Office or the Ministry shall permit the rebuilding of a vehicle if the rebuilt vehicle or its systems, components or separate technical units to which it has intervened fulfil the technical requirements laid down in the regulatory base referred to in paragraph 1 after the rebuilding.
(4) If the component of the vehicle bearing the VIN number changes when the vehicle is converted, the district office shall permit the marking of this VIN number on the new components of the vehicle.
(5) Where a rebuilt vehicle can be categorised, the Ministry or the district office shall determine its category, without prejudice to the provisions of Section 73 (4) of the Act.
VEHICLE EXTENSION
Mandatory equipment for motor vehicles and trailers
(K § 76 (1) of the Act)
(1) For vehicles of categories M and N, the following equipment is always required:
(a) replacement electrical fuses, if used in electrical installations, one per species used;
(b) one replacement filament lamp (replaceable light source excluding discharge lamps) from each type used in lighting and light-signalling devices, with the exception of a special light warning device;
(c) a lift lift of a load capacity equal to or greater than the maximum technically permissible axle load of the vehicle or combination, or equivalent to the mass of the lifted part of the vehicle from the maximum technically permissible mass of the vehicle when lifting this part in a manner specified by the manufacturer for the use of the lift;
(d) the wheel nuts key,
(e) a spare wheel (tyre rim) which is sufficiently fixed in the holder ensuring that the force when the wheel is taken from the holder or inserted into the holder does not exceed 490 N; in the case where more than one wheel size is used on the vehicle, the spare wheel shall be applicable to all such dimensions or the vehicle shall be equipped with spare wheels for all dimensions.
(2) The obligation referred to in paragraph 1 (c) and (d) and the obligation to equip the vehicle with replacement wheels of dimensions referred to in (e) does not apply to:
(a) vehicles fitted with all wheels with tyres of a specific design which permit emergency run after defect with defect indication in any of the tyres or in vehicles of categories M1 and N1 with defect indication in any of the tyres which are equipped with means for unassembled repair of the damaged tyre allowing emergency run;
(b) urban buses, fire trucks and municipal vehicles operating in a restricted area within the operational scope of its operator's service services.
(3) For vehicles of category T, the provisions of paragraph 1, except point (e), for vehicles of category SS, the provisions of paragraph 1, except points (c), (d) and (e), for non-axle tractors with trailers, the provisions of paragraph 1 shall not apply.
(4) Trailers and semi-trailers, with the exception of vehicles of categories O1 and OT1 and fire trailers, must have a spare wheel with a rim and a tyre of the prescribed type and size fixed in a holder which ensures that the force when the wheel is taken from the holder or inserted into the holder does not exceed 490 N. The trailer tractor may have a spare wheel placed on the trailer attached. In the case of the same tyre dimensions and wheel design, the tractor combination with the trailer may have one spare wheel in common.
(5) Motorcycles and motor tricycles shall have the following minimum equipment:
(a) one replacement insurance policy;
(b) one replacement filament lamp from each type of filament lamp used for the external lighting and light-signalling of the vehicle and the tools necessary for its replacement.
(6) Any motor vehicle, other than a moped and a motorbike, a single-axle tractor with a trailer, a motor trolley and a motorbike with an auxiliary motor, is equipped with the appropriate type of first-aid kit. The contents of the medicine cabinet are stored in a separate housing with a characteristic marking. The dispenser is stored in the vehicle in such a space that direct sunlight (radiation) cannot hit it. The storage space for the first-aid kit must be dry and clean and easily accessible. In the case of passenger mass transport vehicles, the first-aid kit shall be placed in a marked and accessible place in the passenger compartment. The vehicle operator shall keep the first-aid kit in good condition, the period of application of each type of medical needs being limited. The types of pharmaceuticals, their contents and equipment and their use by type of vehicle are listed in Annex 7.
(7) A portable warning triangle to indicate the emergency position of the vehicle on the road shall be equipped with motor vehicles, with the exception of two or three-wheel vehicles without a cab and with the exception of quadricycles without a cab, single-axle tractors with trailers, motor vehicles and vehicles of a total width of less than 1 m.
(8) The manufacturer's new vehicle shall be equipped with the minimum equipment referred to in paragraphs 1, 2, 3 and 5 when it is submitted to the seller. The dealer shall offer the equipment referred to in paragraphs 6 and 7 to the customer when selling the new vehicle.
(9) A bus with a maximum of 22 passenger seats, excluding the driver's seat, is equipped with one or more fire extinguishers with a total load of not less than 6 kg, other buses with a total load of not less than 12 kg, an ambulance vehicle with a fire extinguisher with a load of not less than 2 kg and a taxi service vehicle with a fire extinguisher according to a specific regulation. 3) These fire extinguishers may be replaced by fire extinguishers with the minimum required fire-extinguishing capability of the transfer extinguishers according to a special Regulation .4)
(10) For fire extinguishers it is necessary to carry out a conformity assessment of a product authorised by a person. (5) The extinguisher shall be mounted in a vertical or horizontal direction on the vehicle so as to reliably withstand an acceleration of at least 6 g in the direction of the vehicle's frontal impact and shall be placed in a clearly visible and easily accessible position, one being installed in the immediate vicinity of the driver of the vehicle.
Approval of the technical capability of the vehicle equipment
(K § 76 (1) of the Act)
(1) The technical capability of the equipment shall be approved if the equipment complies with the technical requirements laid down in the information document. Equipment whose technical competence is approved is listed in Annex 8.
(2) The application for approval of the technical capacity of the vehicle shall indicate the name of the product, the type designation of the product, the name of the manufacturer, if not the applicant, and the type of vehicle for which the product is intended.
(3) The application referred to in paragraph 2 shall be accompanied by:
(a) an extract from the commercial register or similar document (trade certificate, etc.) or a certified copy thereof; a mandate for representation in the Czech Republic is attached to the external manufacturer of vehicle equipment, which shows that the applicant is entitled to discuss on behalf of the manufacturer matters related to the approval of the technical competence of the vehicle equipment in the Czech Republic,
(b) instructions for the operation, installation and maintenance of equipment in the Czech language; the installation instructions shall not be attached if the fitting of the equipment is secured by a professional assembly site;
(c) a description of the location and method of mandatory marking of the equipment,
(d) a list of professional assembly centres where the fitting of the equipment is provided by professional assembly centres.
