delegating members of the People's militia to certain security tasks
The Federal Ministry of Interior, pursuant to § 11 (2) of Act No. 70 / 1965 Coll., on the National Security Corps, provides:
(1) Members of the People's militia (LM) are entrusted with certain tasks to strengthen the protection and security of the State, in particular in the maintenance of public order, the security of persons and property.
(2) They shall perform these tasks under the direct command of, or in cooperation with, members of the National Security Corps under the command of designated LM commanders.
(1) The members of the LM shall serve in an LM uniform marked by the LM sleeve emblem or in civil clothing with a red sleeve tape attached to the garment. The sleeve emblem LM and the red sleeve tape are always placed on the left forearm.
(2) The LM emblem is in the shape of a shield with black letters LM of 42 mm height and 7 mm width. There's a five-pointed star in the top of it. On the service uniform, the shield is red yellow lined. On the training uniform, the web is red-lined khaki.
(3) The sleeve of red colour is 10 cm wide, with black letters LM 60 mm high and 15 mm wide and bearing a round stamp of the relevant LM staff.
If LM members are identified as referred to in § 2, they shall have the rights and obligations of the National Security Corps when carrying out the security tasks entrusted to them.
Order No 28 / 1955 Coll., on the external designation of members of the People's militia, is hereby repealed.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
