DECLARATION

of 2 January 2017

on the declaration of the National Natural Monuments of the Great Orthodox and the establishment of its closer protection conditions

The Ministry of the Environment provides pursuant to § 79 (4) (h) of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on Nature and Landscape Conservation, as amended by Act No. 349 / 2009 Coll.:

§ 1

Announcement of a national natural monument

(1) The National Natural Monument of the Grand Roudná ("the National Natural Monument") is announced.

(2) A natural body, as defined in paragraph 3, which is a pleistocene stratovulcan with four lava currents, is declared a national natural monument.

(a) the site of the olivine basalt and pyroclastics (basalt and lava tubes, volcanic pumas and volcanic aggregates),

(b) forest ecosystems of beech and rubble forests;

(c) grassland and shrubbery ecosystems and high mesophilic and xerophilic shrubs;

(d) biotope of the Silesian erosion ecotype (Larix decidua), including its natural population;

(e) the biotope of a rare and endangered species of a male seabream (Orchis mascula), including its population; and

(f) biotope of a rare and endangered species of spindle (wax) animal (Cochlodina cerata opaviensis), including its population;

forming the object of the protection of the national natural heritage.

(3) The national natural monument is situated in the territory of the Moravian-Silesian Region, in the cadastral territory of Roudno. The boundaries of the national natural monument shall be determined by a closed geometric pattern with direct sides whose vertices are determined by coordinates of the uniform trigonometric network of the cadastral1). The list of coordinates of the vertices of the geometric pattern as they follow in the pattern is given in Annex 1 to this decree.

(4) An indicative graphical representation of the territory of the national natural monument and its protection zone is given in Annex 2 to this decree.

§ 2

Closer protection conditions

Only with the consent of the competent nature conservation authority can the national natural monument

(a) permit or make changes to the types of land or to their exploitation (2);

(b) permit or carry out construction or permit or make changes to completed buildings or changes to buildings before they are completed or placed on the premises of buildings, advertising and information equipment;

(c) permit or carry out geological work linked to the earth's surface;

(d) to adjust the surface of the road using non-local natural material of the same geological origin;

(e) store items, except for the short-term storage of timber on forest land;

(f) indicate cycling or hiking routes;

(g) to place remining in forest plans or forest agendas on areas of more than 0,25 ha;

(h) fertilise land or use chemical means; or

(i) plant planting or planting, with the exception of forest restoration or the release of animals.

§ 3

Efficacy

This Decision shall enter into force on 15 January 2017.
