DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of the Interior
of 23 December 1971
amending Decree No 87 / 1964 of the Ministry of the Interior Coll., on driving licences
In agreement with the participating central authorities pursuant to Article 16 (1) (a) of Decree-Law No 54 / 1953 Coll., on road traffic, as amended by the statutory measure of the Bureau of the National Assembly No 13 / 1956 Coll. and pursuant to Article 18 (1) of Act No 133 / 1970 Coll., on the jurisdiction of federal ministries, in relation to the provisions of Section 2 of Law No 128 / 1970 Coll., on the definition of the jurisdiction of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in matters of internal order and security:
Decree of the Ministry of the Interior No 87 / 1964 Coll., on driving licences, is amended as follows:
1. Article 6 (4) reads as follows:
"(4) Regular medical examinations shall be subject to:
(a) professional drivers of all motor vehicles, drivers who own category D driving licences and drivers of motor vehicles fire protection, medical and mining rescue services, who use special warning signs every two years; they are required to undergo an inspection once a year after 50 years of age;
(b) other holders of driving licences after 60 years of age and again after 65 and 68 years of age. From 68 years of age, these holders are required to undergo a medical examination every two years. The report on the outcome of the medical examination shall be submitted within 6 months of the date of reaching the age limits of the transport inspector of the District Department of Public Security responsible for the place of permanent residence; in Prague, Bratislava, Brno, Ostrava, Pilsen and Košice, the Transport Inspectorate of the City Administration of Public Security. "
2. Article 6 (6) reads as follows:
"(6) The detection of the physical and mental capacity of applicants for driving licences and medical examinations of drivers of motor vehicles shall be carried out by the driving doctor responsible for the workplace according to specific regulations; in other cases, the district doctor responsible for the place of residence. ';
3. Paragraph 11, second sentence:
"However, supplementary training shall not be supported by a category D driving licence applicant (Section 3 (1)); the applicant for category E driving authorisation (Section 3 (2)) shall not be subjected to additional training or test. ';
Holders of driving licences who have already reached 60 years of age on the date of application of this decree and have not yet received a medical examination under the current regulations shall be required to undergo a medical examination and submit a report of the result within six months of the date of application of this decree to the Public Security Transport Inspectorate responsible for the place of residence; in Prague, Bratislava, Brno, Ostrava, Pilsen and Košice, the Transport Inspectorate of the City Administration of Public Security.
They shall be deleted:
a) Ordinance of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Socialist Republic No. 167 / 1969 Coll., amending Decree of the Ministry of Interior No. 87 / 1964 Coll., on driving licences,
b) Ordinance of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Socialist Republic No. 95 / 1970 Coll., amending Decree of the Ministry of Interior No. 87 / 1964 Coll., on driving licences.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
