THE LAW
of 31 October 2007
amending Act No 219 / 2003 Coll., on the putting into circulation of seeds and propagating plants and amending certain laws (Law on the circulation of seed and propagating material), as amended by Act No 444 / 2005 Coll. and Act No 178 / 2006 Coll.
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 219 / 2003 Coll., on the putting into circulation of seeds and propagating plants and amending certain laws (Act on the circulation of seeds and seed), as amended by Act No. 444 / 2005 Coll. and Act No. 178 / 2006 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. In footnote 1, the following text is added:
"Commission Directive 2006 / 124 / EC of 5 December 2006 amending Council Directive 92 / 33 / EEC on the marketing of vegetable propagating and planting material other than seed and Council Directive 2002 / 55 / EC on the marketing of vegetable seed. Commission Directive 2006 / 127 / EC of 7 December 2006 amending Directive 2003 / 91 / EC laying down implementing measures for Article 7 of Council Directive 2002 / 55 / EC as regards the characteristics to be covered as a minimum by the examination and the minimum conditions for examining certain varieties of vegetable species. ';
2. In Annex 1, point 4:

3. In Annex 1, point 5, in the left-hand column, the words "Primus avium (L.) L. 'are replaced by the words" Prunus avium (L.) L.';
Transitional provisions
1. Applications for renewal of the registration pursuant to Article 34 of varieties of the species Chives (Allium schoenoprasum L.), sweetcorn and pukanova maize (Zea mays L. (partim)) shall be considered to have been submitted in due time if they are submitted no later than 6 months after the date of entry into force of this Law.
2. Varieties of the species Chives (Allium schoenoprasum L.), sweetcorn and pukanova maize [Zea mays L. (partim)] may be put into circulation without registration no later than 31 December 2009.
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
