laying down rules for the selection of epidemiological food groups
According to § 19 (g) of Act No. 110 / 1997 Coll., on Food and Tobacco Products and on the amendment and addition of certain related laws:
§ 1
For the purposes of this decree:
(a) ready-to-eat foods which are consumed in the unaltered state, cooked foods which are consumed in a warm or cold state and dried foods which must be mixed with hot or cold liquid before consumption;
(b) pathogen agents (agent) agent of food disease (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites and bacteria and fungal toxins).
§ 2
For the purpose of exercising official supervision, food intended for direct consumption shall be selected as epidemiological food groups, which:
(a) they do not undergo a technological process in their manufacture which destroys or eliminates the pathogenic agent;
(b) undergo a technological process which does not guarantee the complete destruction or removal of pathogenic agents;
(c) undergo phase-based technological processes which first destroy the pathogenic agent, but subsequently do not exclude the risk of re-contamination by pathogenic agents during final processing.
§ 3
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
