DECLARATION
of 3 August 2021
on the issue of a commemorative gold CZK 10,000 coin for the 1100th anniversary of the death of Princess Ludmila
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll. and Act No. 89 / 2018 Coll.:
(1) On 14 September 2021, the 1100th anniversary of the death of Princess Ludmila is issued with a commemorative gold coin of CZK 10,000 (hereinafter referred to as "coins").
(2) Coins are issued in the ordinary version and in a special version with a polished field of the coin and a matt relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Coins are rolled of gold of purity 999.9. The weight of the coin is 31,107 g, 34 mm diameter and 2.4 mm thickness. When the coin is embossed, the tolerance in gold purity is up to 0,01%, the difference in weight up to 0,062 g, the tolerance in diameter 0,1 mm and the tolerance in thickness 0,15 mm. The coin edge in the normal version is serrated, the coin edge in the special version is smooth.
(1) On the face of the coin is depicted the strangulation of Princess Ludmila according to Velislav's Bible. At the top edge of the coin is placed the text "CZECH REPUBLIC" under which there are heraldic animals from a large state emblem. In the middle there is a Czech lion, left of him Moravian eagle and right of him Silesian eagle. The denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "10 000 CZK" is placed at the lower edge of the coin. The brand of the Czech Mint, which consists of composing the letters "No" and "M", is located at the right edge of the coin.
(2) On the back of the coin is a portrait of Princess Ludmila with a veil and a prince's crown. At the left edge of the coin are the initials of the author of the coin, academic sculptor Zbyžek Fojt, which are made up of composite letters "F" and "Z," and text "921-2021." The author's initials are separated by a dot from the text. At the right edge of the coin is placed the text "PRINCE LUDMILA."
(3) The coin is shown in the annex to this decree.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 14 September 2021.
