Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that on 21 October 1998 the Agreement between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Paraguay on the visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and service passports of the Czech Republic and holders of diplomatic and official passports of the Republic of Paraguay was signed in Asuncion.
The Agreement entered into force on 10 September 1999 on the basis of Article 8 thereof.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.
AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Paraguay on the visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and service passports of the Czech Republic and holders of diplomatic and official passports of the Republic of Paraguay
The Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Paraguay (hereinafter referred to as the "Contracting Parties') in an effort to strengthen friendly relations between the two States have agreed as follows:
1. Citizens of the Czech Republic, holders of valid diplomatic and service passports, may enter and stay there for 90 (90) days without a visa.
2. Citizens of the Republic of Paraguay, holders of valid diplomatic and official passports, may enter and stay there for 90 (90) days without a visa.
1. Citizens of the Czech Republic, holders of diplomatic and service passports who are members of a diplomatic mission or consular post of the Czech Republic in the territory of the Republic of Paraguay, may stay on the territory of the Republic of Paraguay for the duration of their secondment without a visa.
Family members who live in the same household and are citizens of the Czech Republic may stay without a visa on the territory of the Republic of Paraguay for the duration of their secondment, if they themselves hold diplomatic and service passports.
2. Citizens of the Republic of Paraguay, holders of diplomatic and official passports who are members of a diplomatic mission or consular office of the Republic of Paraguay in the Czech Republic, may stay on the territory of the Czech Republic for the duration of their secondment without a visa.
Family members who live in the same household and are citizens of the Republic of Paraguay may stay without a visa in the Czech Republic for the duration of their secondment, provided they themselves hold diplomatic and official passports.
Persons referred to in Articles 1 and 2 may cross the national borders of both Contracting Parties at all border crossing points for international travel.
Citizens of the States of the two Contracting Parties shall comply with the laws and regulations concerning entry, residence and exit from the State of the other Contracting Party.
This Agreement shall be without prejudice to the right of the competent authorities of each Contracting Party to refuse entry or residence of persons whose presence is undesirable in the territory of that Contracting Party.
1. Each Contracting Party may temporarily suspend the application of this Agreement in whole or in part for reasons of safety, public order or health.
The introduction and the repeal of these measures shall be notified without delay to the other Contracting Party by diplomatic channels and shall take effect on the date of notification of such notification.
1. The Contracting Parties shall exchange, by diplomatic means, the model passports referred to in Article 1 together with the exchange of notes in which they shall notify each other that the national conditions for the entry into force of this Agreement have been fulfilled.
2. In the event of a change in the passports in force, the Contracting Parties shall send their new designs together with the information on their applicability by diplomatic means no later than 30 (30) days before their introduction.
This Agreement shall enter into force 30 (30) days after the date of exchange of notes in which the Contracting Parties notify each other that the national conditions for its entry into force have been fulfilled.
This Agreement shall be negotiated for an indefinite period. Each Party may denounce it in writing by diplomatic means. This Agreement shall expire 90 (90) days after the date of notification of the written statement to the other Contracting Party.
Done at Asuncion, 21 October 1998, in two original copies, each in the Czech and Spanish languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
