GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 18 July 2001
providing temporary protection for state citizens of the Russian Federation
The Government orders pursuant to § 181 (b) of Act No. 326 / 1999 Coll., on the residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic and on the amendment of certain laws, hereinafter referred to as "the Act":
(1) Pursuant to Article 41 (a) of the Act, the Czech Republic shall grant temporary protection until 30 June 2002 to 250 nationals of the Russian Federation who fled the territory of the Russian Federation as a result of the armed conflict in Chechnya and were parties to the asylum procedure on 18 April 2001.
(2) The cost of providing the temporary protection referred to in paragraph 1, paid by the State budget, may not exceed CZK 42 500 000.
(1) This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
(2) This Regulation shall expire on 1 July 2002.
