THE LAW
of 27 February 1968
on amendments to certain laws relating to the modification of the status of the National Committee of the capital of Slovakia Bratislava
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
Act No. 69 / 1967 Coll., on National Committees, is amended as follows:
Paragraph 11 reads as follows:
In the capital of Slovakia Bratislava the National Committee of the capital of Slovakia Bratislava and the district national committees are active. The National Committee of the capital of Slovakia Bratislava is directly governed by the Government or the Slovak National Council. Special arrangements for the status, competence and organisational construction of the National Committee of the Capital of Slovakia Bratislava and the District National Committees shall be laid down by the Slovak National Council. '
Act No. 36 / 1960 Coll., on the Territorial Breakdown of the State, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 2, whose current provision is renumbered paragraph 1, is added to paragraph 2 of the following text:
"(2) The territory of the capital of Slovakia Bratislava constitutes a separate territorial unit. Its division into circuits shall be determined by the Slovak National Council. '
2. In Section 11, point 1 is deleted.
Act No. 113 / 1967 Coll., on elections to the National Assembly, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 14 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) The election to the National Assembly is managed by the National Front Regional Election Commission in the capital of Prague and in the capital of Slovakia by the Bratislava City Election Commission of the National Front, which in their activities are subordinate to the Central Election Commission of the National Front. The provisions of this Regional Election Commission Act shall apply mutatis mutandis to these municipal Election Commission National Front. '
2. Paragraph 22 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) The Council of the Regional National Committee, the Council of the National Committee of the Capital City of Prague and the Council of the National Committee of the Capital of Slovakia Bratislava shall set up a Regional Election Commission no later than 50 days before the election date for each constituency."
Act No. 114 / 1967 Coll., on National Committee Elections, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 10 (4) reads as follows:
"(4) In the constituency for elections to the National Committee of the Capital City of Prague, the National Committee of the Capital of Slovakia Bratislava and the District National Committees in Prague and Bratislava, 4-15 members are usually elected. In the constituency for elections to the national district committees in Brno, Ostrava, Pilsen and Košice, 4-15 members are also elected as a general rule."
2. Paragraph 12 (5) reads as follows:
"(5) Electoral circuits for the election to the National Committee of the Capital City of Prague are set by the National Committee of the Capital City of Prague and electoral circuits for the election to the National Committee of the Capital of Slovakia Bratislava are set by the National Committee of the Capital of Slovakia by Bratislava in such a way as not to exceed the boundaries of the urban districts; paragraph 3 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the establishment of electoral districts for the national district committees. ';
3. Paragraph 14 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) Elections
the Regional National Committees are managed by the Regional Election Commission of the National Front, the National Committee of the Capital City of Prague and the National Committee of the Capital of Slovakia Bratislava,
the District National Committees and the District National Committees in Prague,
to the municipal national committees of the City Election Commission of the National Front,
to the local national committees and to the district national committees in Bratislava, Brno, Ostrava, Pilsen and Košice, National Front Election Commission. '
4. Paragraph 29 (a) reads as follows:
"(a) within 25 days of the date of election to the Regional National Committees, to the National Committee of the Capital City of Prague, to the National Committee of the Capital of Slovakia Bratislava, to the District National Committees, to the Municipal National Committees in Brno, Ostrava, in Pilsen and Košice and to the District National Committees in Prague;"
Act No. 60 / 1965 Coll., on the Prosecutor's Office, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 30 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) The prosecution is subdivided into the General Prosecutor's Office, which includes the Main Military Prosecutor's Office, the Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Municipal Prosecutor's Office in Prague, the Senior Military Prosecutor's Office, the District Prosecutor's Office in Bratislava, the District Prosecutor's Office in the City of Prague and the Military District Prosecutor's Office."
2. The following sentences are added to Paragraph 30 (2):
"The seat and district of the City Prosecutor's Office in Bratislava coincides with the seat and district of the National Committee of the capital of Slovakia Bratislava. The District Prosecutor's Office in Bratislava shall also exercise jurisdiction in the territory of the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. '
Act No. 121 / 1962 Coll., on Economic Arbitration, is added as follows:
A semicolon and the following sentence shall be added to Paragraph 6 (1) (b):
"The jurisdiction of the regional State Arbitration for the territory of the capital of Slovakia Bratislava exercises state Arbitration for the City of Bratislava. '
Act No. 70 / 1965 Coll., on the National Security Corps, is added as follows:
The following sentence shall be inserted after the first sentence of Section 6:
"The Municipal Public Security Administration in Bratislava exercises the responsibility of the District Department of Public Security; the Regional Administration of the National Security Corps in Bratislava shall also exercise jurisdiction in the territory of the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. '
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
