Government Regulation
of 23 November 1948
amending and supplementing the railway transport rules.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders pursuant to § 85, paragraph 1 of the Act of 20 May 1937, No. 86 Coll., on Railways (Railway Act):
The Railway Transport Regulations, annexed to the Decree of 21 December 1945, No 1 Coll. of 1946, which establishes the Railway Transport Regulations, are amended again and supplemented as follows:
1.
Section 1. Passengers may submit as luggage items the volume, modification, length and weight of which is permitted by the dispatching station to be quickly loaded and placed in the luggage carriage (see also Article 31). The tariff may include the quantity, volume, length and weight of the articles or specify their presentation.
Article 2. Articles referred to in Article 45 and articles which, pursuant to Article 46, are only conditional on being admitted to transport shall be excluded from transport; the tariff may provide for exceptions. ';
2. in the first sentence of Article 30, Article 1, the words "for the maintenance of the provisions of Article 29;" shall be replaced by the words "for the maintenance of the provisions of Article 29, Article 2;"
3. in Article 30, Article 2, the words "the provisions of Article 29, Article 4 have been infringed," shall be replaced by the words "the provisions of Article 29, Article 2 have been infringed,"
4. In Article 31, Section 1, the words "Where a package is prescribed for a baggage 'are replaced by the words" Where the nature of the baggage requires a package'.
5. in the first sentence of Article 31 (2), the words' where packaging is prescribed 'shall be replaced by' whose nature requires packaging ';
6. in Article 32, Article 12, the words "wreaths, bouquets," shall be inserted after the words "For carriage of baby carriages."
7. in Article 90, § 1, "(Article 29, § 4)" shall be replaced by "(Article 29, § 2)";
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1949; they shall be carried out by the Minister for Transport.
