Government Regulation
of 13 December 1949
adjusting the general customs duties on imports of goods.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders, pursuant to Article 1 of the Act of 21 December 1948, No 292 Coll., on the modification of the tariff during the transitional period:
The tariff schedule shall be amended as follows:
1. Note 3 for the number 284:
| „3. Natronová celulosa dovážená k výrobě natronového papíru, cigaretového papíru nebo karbonového papíru, jakož i sulfitová celulosa dovážená k výrobě vulkanfibru, k nitraci nebo k výrobě viskosy, na dovolovací list, pod dozorem a za podmínek stanovených nařízením, od 1. ledna 1950 do 31. prosince 1950 | beze cla“. |
2. Note for the rate.
"Note. Artificial grinding discs, from 1 January 1950 to 30 June 1950, weighing:
| 1. nejvýše 2000 kg | 60.— |
| 2. více než 2000 kg | 30.—“. |
3. the following note shall be inserted after the rate (p. 413a):
"Note. Magnesium bricks, from 1 January 1950 to 31 December 1950, weighing:

| 2. více než 5 kg | 10.—“. |
4. The following note is inserted after the note to the rate number 500:
"Note to the rates of Nos 491, 496 and 500. Lead, zinc, copper, nickel and aluminium sheets and plates of pol. 491a, 491c and ex 491d), copper, nickel and aluminium bars, bars and wire ex-pr. pol. 496d) as well as copper, nickel and aluminium ovens and cylinders ex-pr. pol. pol. 500d) shall be subject to the appropriate autonomous duty rates from 1 January 1950 to 31 December 1950 1 / 10. '
5. The following entries shall be inserted after the rate number 520:
| „Poznámka k saz. pol. 520b). Hliníkové nádoby dovážené jako obaly naplněné zbožím, nejde-li o úpravu pro drobný prodej, od 1. ledna 1950 do 31. prosince 1950 | 500.—“. |
"Note to rates 517 and 520. Copper sheets (foil), ex-pol. pol. 517a) and aluminium sheets (foil), ex-pol. number 520, shall be subject to the appropriate autonomous duty rate from 1 January 1950 to 31 December 1950 1 / 10. '
6. Note for the rate.

7. Note 2 for the number 624 is as follows:
| „2. Roztoky umělých pryskyřic, bez přísad, pro továrny na výrobu lakových pokostů, vyclívané u celních oddělení ONV výslovně zmocněných, na osvědčení Československé obchodní komory, že jde o jejich upotřebení k výrobě laků, od 1. ledna 1950 do 31. prosince 1950 | 150.—“. |
8. Rates 636 reads:
| „636. Svíčky, vyjma lojové a voskové, výslovně nejmenované výrobky z kyseliny stearové, parafinu a z jiných podobných látek, vyjma z tvárného vosku a z ceresinu | 600.—“. |
9. Rates 639 reads:

10. The words "until 31 December 1949" shall be replaced by the words "until 31 December 1950" for the following tariff notes: for the notes at pol. pol. 62b) 2, for the notes at pol. pol. 109b) 1, for the notes at grade XXI, for the notes at rates of no. 483 and 484, for the notes at rate of pol. 602f), for the notes at po. 296a), for the notes at rates at 621, for the notes at po. po. po. po. 623a), for the notes at po. 62f) and for the notes at po. 646a).
11. The words "before 31 December 1947" shall be replaced by the words "1949 to 31 December 1950" for the following tariff notes: for the tariff notes: for the tariff notes: for the tariff notes: pole. 250a) 1, for the tariff notes: 250; for the second tariff note: pole. 290a), for the second tariff note: number 294; for the tariff notes: 418; and for the tariff notes: pole. 420a).
12. The words "before 31 December 1949" shall be replaced by the words "1949 until 30 June 1950" for the following tariff notes: for the tariff note No 14, for the tariff note No 44 and for the tariff note No 318.
For the period from 1 January to 30 June 1950, the customs duties applicable to imports of goods falling within the following tariff headings shall be abolished:
1. Cocoa beans and peel.
Note for set number. 9. Dried figs in wreaths or otherwise packed, for the manufacture of coffee substitutes or confectionery, on a release note.
Note for set number 10. Goods set by No. 10 for the manufacture of sugar confectionery, on the note.
13. Lemons, cements and oranges, loaded in salt water; immature small oranges; Orange, cedar and lemon bark, whether or not ground or loaded in salt water.

The Minister of Finance may, in agreement with the Minister for Foreign Trade, amend the Order in the Customs Tariff Code of Laws in a manner which does not entail a change in the tariff classification of the goods or a change in the customs duties to which they are subject.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1950; they shall be implemented by the Finance Minister in agreement with the participating members of the Government.
