DECLARATION
of 31 July 2008
on the issue of gold coins "Technical monument brewery in Pilsen" for CZK 2,500
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
§ 1
(1) On 8 October 2008 gold coins "Technical Monument of the Brewery in Pilsen" are issued for CZK 2,500 ("Coins") as part of the "Cultural Monuments of the Technical Heritage." The coin is shown in the annex to this decree.
(2) Coins are issued in the ordinary version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coins and matt relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Coins in normal and special design are made of gold of purity 999.9. The weight of the coin is 7.78 g, its diameter is 22 mm and its strength is 1.6 mm. The coin edge in the normal version is serrated, the coin edge in the special version is smooth. When the coin is embossed in both normal and special versions, the tolerance is 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance up to 0,062 g is allowed and in gold purity the tolerance up to 0,01%.
§ 2
(1) On the front of the coin is a composition of stylized heraldic animals from a large state emblem. In the middle is a Czech lion, on the right is a Silesian eagle and on the left is a Moravian eagle. Under the composition of heraldic animals, brewery cooking pans are displayed in the cut. At the left, upper and right edges of the coin, in the unclosed copy, the name of the cycle "CULTURAL MEMORIES OF TECHNICAL GRANTS" is given. The name of the cycle is bounded by dots at the beginning and end. The name of the state is "CZECH REPUBLIC" between the composition of heraldic animals and the depiction of the boiling pans. The name of the State is bounded by dots at the beginning and at the end. At the bottom edge of the coin, the denomination is marked with the acronym "2500 CZK," which is enclosed by dots on the sides and below. The coin tag that hit the coin is located in the lower right corner of the cut with a picture of the boiling pan.
(2) On the back of the coin are the legal doors of the town brewery in Pilsen, behind which is a view to the brewery area. There are many brewery barrels under the legal doors. At the left and right edges of the coin is an unclosed copy of "PIVOVAR V PLZNI," which is divided by the number of stamps "2008." The copy and the year of the stamping are enclosed by dots. At the right edge of the coin are the initials of the author of the graphic design of the coin, academic sculptor Zbyňka Fojt, which are composed of interconnected letters "FZ." The initials are enclosed by dots.
§ 3
This Decree shall take effect on 1 October 2008.
