THE LAW
of 31 May 2002
on a state bond programme to cover expenditure relating to the secondment of the 6th Field Hospital to Afghanistan
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
State bond programme
(1) The purpose of the government bond programme is to cover the costs associated with the deployment of the 6th Field Hospital to Afghanistan within the framework of the ISAF International Security Support Force Mission and the deployment of the battalion of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Army of the Czech Republic in Operation Permanent Freedom and its involvement in any set of international measures to enforce the relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions related to the disarmament of the Republic of Iraq under the terms of the United Nations mandate.
(2) The maximum amount of the government bond programme is CZK 600,000, with CZK 430 000 000 being used to cover the expenses associated with the deployment of the 6th Field Hospital to Afghanistan and CZK 170 000 000 to cover part of the expenses associated with the deployment of the battalion of the Czech Army of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection in Operation Permanent Freedom and its involvement in a possible set of international measures to enforce the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions related to the disarmament of the Republic of Iraq under the conditions of the United Nations mandate.
(3) Any liabilities arising from this sovereign bond programme shall be repaid no later than 20 years after the date of entry into force of this Act.
(4) The total expenditure of the State Budget approved by the State Budget Act in the financial year in which the funds thus obtained are used may be exceeded by the funds obtained under this Act. This overrun shall be amended in the relevant financial year by the balance of the State budget and by the appropriations.
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
