DECLARATION
Czech National Banks
of 25 October 1996
on the issue of banknotes of CZK 1000 model 1996
The Czech National Bank provides according to § 22 (a) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
On 6 December 1996, banknotes of CZK 1000 model 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the "1996 model banknote") shall be issued for circulation.
(1) The 1996 model banknote has the same dimensions including the tolerance allowed as the 1993 model banknote (hereinafter the 1993 model banknote). Paper of the same quality and colour is used for the 1996 banknote, with a protective window band and watermark the same as for the 1993.1 banknote)
(2) Banknote paper in the case of a 1996 banknote is equipped with visible orange protective fibres of 6 mm length.
(3) Banknote paper in the case of a model 1996 banknote is also equipped with a 20 mm width protection iridiscent strip with a 0,5 mm tolerance permitted on the face side at a distance of 124 mm from the left side of the 3 mm shift tolerance banknote. The protective iridiscent stripe is transparent, it is slightly ochre-coloured and at a certain angle of light impact it receives a slight blue touch with metallic gloss. At the right edge of the protection iridiscent lane the numbers "1000" are negative from top to bottom.
(4) The protective serial number of the 1996 banknote is in the appearance of the letters "Czech Republic" placed in a white circular area. The part of the protective assembly mark visible on the front side is printed in purple and is placed in the upper left corner of the banknote print pattern, to the right of the value number on the wide unprinted edge of the banknote ("coupon '). The part of the protective assembly mark visible on the reverse is also printed in purple and is placed in the upper right corner of the banknote pattern, left of the value number on the coupon.
(1) On the face of the 1996 banknote, the images and texts are the same as in the 1993 banknote. They are printed using the same printing techniques as the 1993 banknote.
(2) The front side of the model 1996 banknote differs from the front side of the model 1993 banknote by placing in the tree crown a stylized leaf, printed with an optically variable colour, which, depending on the angle of impact of light, turns from gold to green, and the issue year is marked "1996 '.
(1) On the reverse of the 1996 banknote, the images and texts are the same as those of the 1993 banknote. They are printed using the same printing techniques as the 1993 banknote.
(2) The reverse side of the 1996 banknote differs from the reverse side of the 1993 banknote only by the graphic symbol "P" stylized in tree form being printed in blue and black at the bottom of the coupon.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 December 1996.
