Decree of the Ministry of Transport and Communications on the method and reason for hanging, placing and size of the national flag of the Czech Republic and other flags used on a sea vessel or recreational yacht (about the use of flags)

DECLARATION
Ministry of Transport and Communications
of 2 August 2000
on the manner and reason for the posting, location and size of the national flag of the Czech Republic and other flags used on a seagoing vessel or recreational yacht (on the use of flags)
The Ministry of Transport and Communications provides, pursuant to § 85 (1) of Act No. 61 / 2000 Coll., on maritime navigation, (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") for the implementation of § 21 (2) of the Act:
§ 1
The flag of the Czech Republic (hereinafter referred to as "the flag of the State ') is displayed in the course of sea navigation
(a) on a seagoing merchant ship (hereinafter referred to as "ship") for a voyage (1) to the flagship mast of the ship's main mast and during untying or anchoring (hereinafter referred to as "attitude") on the stern mast of the ship,
(b) on a seagoing yacht or recreational yacht for sails1) on a flagship mast of a signaling or main mast of a seagoing yacht or recreational yacht and during the positions of a seagoing yacht or recreational yacht on the rear mast of a seagoing yacht or recreational yacht.
§ 2
(1) The flag of a State shall be displayed on a seagoing vessel or recreational yacht for voyages, (1) on board, (2) in port and on inland waterways sections with the coastal sea up to the port, during the position on segregate (2) and in port, and whenever the master of the seagoing vessel or recreational yacht considers it appropriate.
(2) When using a state flag as a sign of sadness in the event of state sadness or the death of a crew member on board a ship, the flag shall be launched for a maximum period of three days by half the flag jest of the ship's main mast or stern masts. The flag shall be raised to the top of the flagpole at the top of the main mast of the ship or the aft mast of the ship and then run to its half; The flag shall be raised to the top of the flagpole at the top of the main mast of the ship or the aft mast of the ship and shall then be launched. If a member of the crew of a ship died on land and the ship is located at the site of its death, the deceased member of the crew of the ship shall be given the same honour of the State flag as the death of the crew member of the ship.
(3) When passing each other, the ships shall be healthy by launching and raising a state flag and a sound signal. The ship greets the military ship of another state by launching and raising a state flag.
§ 3
(1) It is used on board
(a) a national flag of a rectangular size of 1,50 m x 1 m;
(b) a national flag of small dimensions of rectangular shape of 0,75 m x 0,50 m.
(2) A flag of small size as referred to in paragraph 1 (b) shall be used on a sea yacht or recreational yacht.
§ 4
Using other flags
(1) Other flags may be displayed only after the State flag has been displayed. The state flag always starts last.
(2) The flag of another State shall be displayed on the right side of the embankment of a seagoing vessel, (1) on board (2) of that State, in its port and on the sections of its inland waterways with the coastal sea, up to and during its position on its fishing vessel (2) and in its port.
(3) The signal flags shall be displayed on the left side of the signal masts of the seagoing vessel or pleasure yachts according to the customs generally accepted and recognised in maritime navigation.
(4) The flag of the operator of a seagoing vessel shall be displayed on a complaint placed on the front of the seagoing vessel or on the left side of the seagoing vessel's signal masts when the master of the seagoing vessel considers it appropriate.
§ 5
Flag
(1) On the day of the national holiday of the Czech Republic and on the day of the national holiday of the State in whose port the ship is in position, a great flag glory will be performed after the flag has been issued. On other festive occasions, a small flag fame shall be carried out upon the instructions of the master.
(2) A big flag is the hanging of state flags at the top of the boat's mast, as well as the hanging of signal flags to connect the bow and stern of the ship through the top of the ship's masts.
(3) A small flag shall mean the hanging of State flags on top of the masts of the ship and the hanging of at least four signal flags from both ends of the ship's signal masts.
§ 6
Efficacy
This decree shall take effect on the 15th day following that of its publication.
