on the updating of the Nomenclature of Territorial Statistical Units (CZ- NUTS)
The Czech Statistical Office, pursuant to Article 19 (2) of Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on the National Statistical Service, and following Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019 / 1755 of 8 August 2019, announces with effect from 1 January 2021 the update of the Classification of Territorial Statistical Units (hereinafter referred to as "the CZ- NUTS Classification '), established by the Communication of the Czech Statistical Office No. 490 / 2003 Coll., of 18 December 2003, and updated by the Communication of the Czech Statistical Office No. 228 / 2004 Coll., the Communication of the Czech Statistical Office No. 201 / 2007 Coll., the Communication of the Czech Statistical Office No. 241 / 2011 Coll.
The subject of the update of the nomenclature CZ- NUTS is the change of the name of the territorial statistical unit "Czech Republic 'at NUTS 0 and NUTS 1 levels to" Czech Republic'. The codes "CZ '(NUTS level 0) and" CZ0' (NUTS level 1) are unchanged.
The valid version of the updated CZ- NUTS classification will be available on the Czech Statistical Office website at www.czso.cz.
