GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 28 April 2004
on the unilateral visa waiver in respect of Australia, Canada, the Sultanate of Brunei and the United States of America
The Government orders pursuant to Section 181 of Act No. 326 / 1999 Coll., on the residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic and on the amendment of certain laws, as amended by Act No. 140 / 2001 Coll. and Act No. 222 / 2003 Coll., and to be supplemented to the extent provided by the immediately binding regulation of the European Communities: 1)
§ 1
(1) Holders of valid diplomatic, service and travel passports of Australia may enter the territory of the Czech Republic and temporarily stay without a visa for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180-day period, unless the purpose of their stay is not to pursue a gainful activity.
(2) Holders of valid diplomatic, service and travel passports of Canada may enter the territory of the Czech Republic and temporarily stay without a visa for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180-day period, unless the purpose of their stay is not to pursue a gainful activity.
(3) Holders of valid diplomatic, service and travel passports of the Sultanate of Brunei may enter the territory of the Czech Republic and temporarily stay without a visa for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180-day period, unless the purpose of their stay is not to pursue a professional activity.
(4) Holders of valid diplomatic, official and travel passports of the United States of America may enter the territory of the Czech Republic and temporarily stay without a visa for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180-day period, unless the purpose of their stay is not to pursue a gainful activity.
§ 2
The following shall be deleted:
1. Government Decree No. 459 / 2001 Coll., on the visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, official and travel passports of the United States of America.
2. Government Decree No. 580 / 2002 Coll., amending Government Decree No. 459 / 2001 Coll., on the visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, official and travel passports of the United States of America.
§ 3
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.

1) Article 4 (3) of Council Regulation (EC) No 539 / 2001 of 15 March 2001 listing the third countries whose nationals must be in possession of visas when crossing the external borders and those whose nationals are exempt from that requirement.
