DECLARATION
Ministry of Culture

on the remuneration of authors of works which, due to their nature, can be reproduced for their own personal use on the basis of printed matter or copies thereof by means of a technical device to another material background
The Ministry of Culture provides pursuant to Article 13 (4) of Act No. 35 / 1965 Coll., on works of literary, scientific and artistic (Copyright Act), as amended by Act No. 237 / 1995 Coll.:
The rate of remuneration for authors of works from manufacturers and importers of technical equipment by which works can be reproduced for their own personal use on the basis of printed matter or copies thereof by transfer to another material background (hereinafter referred to as remuneration) shall be 3% of the selling price of the technical equipment sold by the manufacturer or importer.
The remuneration referred to in Article 1 shall be paid twice a year by the producers or importers of DILIA, a theatre and literary agency in Prague (hereinafter referred to as "the collecting organisations') and payable within two months of the end of each calendar semester.
The selection organisation shall charge and distribute the remuneration received under this decree within one month of their adoption to the relevant protection organisation1) in the following proportion:
70% for authors of literary works (including scientific and cartographic works),
20% for authors of works of art,
10% for authors of musical works.
The competent protection organisation shall allocate the remuneration received to authors in accordance with its accounting rules. (2)
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
