Legislative measure of the Bureau of the National Assembly amending certain provisions of the National Assembly Election Act and the National Committees Election Act

Bureau of the National Assembly
of 10 March 1961
amending certain provisions of the National Assembly Election Act and the National Committees Election Act
The Bureau of the National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic has decided in accordance with Article 60 (2) of the Constitution on the following legal measure:
Čl. I
Act No. 27 / 1954 Coll., on Elections to the National Assembly, as amended by Act No. 37 / 1960 Coll. is amended as follows:
Article 11 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) The list of electoral districts for elections to the National Assembly shall be published by the Bureau of the National Assembly no later than 60 days before the election date."
2. Article 13 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) For the management of elections to the National Assembly on the territory of the entire State, the Bureau of the National Assembly shall set up a Central Election Commission no later than 55 days before the election date. '
3. Article 14 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) The institution of the Central Election Commission in Slovakia is the Slovak Election Commission, set up by the Presidency of the Slovak National Council no later than 55 days before the date of the election."
4. Paragraph 28 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) The National Assembly election date shall be determined by the Bureau of the National Assembly no later than 60 days in advance. ';

Supplementary Options
(1) If, for any reason, a vacancy takes place instead of a Member of the National Assembly, the Bureau of the National Assembly shall provide for a supplementary election. The supplementary election shall take place no later than 90 days after the vacancy of the member of the National Assembly.
(2) The Bureau of the National Assembly shall set up a Central Election Commission for the entire election period of the National Assembly to manage the supplementary elections. The Commission shall be composed of the President, Deputy Secretary, Secretary and six other members. The Central Election Commission for Addition to the National Assembly in Slovakia is the body of the Slovak Election Commission, set up by the Presidency of the Slovak National Council; has the same composition. ';
Čl. II
Act No. 39 / 1960 Coll., on National Committee Elections, is amended as follows:
Article 21 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) The President, his Deputy Director, the Secretary and the necessary number of other members of the Central Electoral Commission shall be appointed by the Bureau of the National Assembly on a proposal from the Central Committee of the National Front. The President, his Deputy, the Secretary and the necessary number of other members of the Slovak Electoral Commission shall be appointed by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council on a proposal from the Central Committee of the Slovak National Front. '
2. Article 30 (1) reads as follows:
"(1) The national committee election date shall be determined by the Bureau of the National Assembly no later than 60 days in advance. ';

This legal measure shall take effect on the date of its publication.
