DECLARATION

of 6 August 2009

on the declaration of the National Nature Reserve Big and Little Bezdez and the establishment of its closer protection conditions

The Ministry of the Environment provides pursuant to § 79 (3) (c) of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on the Conservation of Nature and Landscape, as amended by Act No. 218 / 2004 Coll. and Act No. 312 / 2008 Coll., ("the Act '):

§ 1

Subject matter

(1) The Great and Small Bezdez National Natural Reserve ("the National Nature Reserve") is hereby declared.

(2) The subject of protection is:

(a) natural forest crops at the peaks of the Great and Little Bezděz, consisting primarily of acidophilic and flowery beech, acting duoborns and rubble forests;

(b) communities of rock steppes which form the biotope of a series of rare and endangered species of plants and animals, including the population of alpine carpenter (Rosalia alpina),

(c) a geomorphologically unique body consisting of two volcanic purchases made up of a sodium phonolite with a typical slab and column separability that undermines the formation of multiple rubble currents and soils; and

(d) habitat types and species for which another legislation1) a European major site called Great and Small Bezdez and which are located in the territory of the national nature reserve.

§ 2

Definition of the national nature reserve

The national nature reserve is located in the cadastral territory of Bezdez. The national natural reserve boundaries shall be determined by a closed geometric pattern with direct sides whose vertices are determined by the coordinates of the single trigonometric network system of the cadastral2). The list of coordinates of the vertices of the geometric pattern as they follow in the pattern is given in Annex 1 to this decree. An indicative graphical representation of the territory of the national nature reserve is given in Annex 3 to this decree.

§ 3

Closer protection conditions

Only with the consent of the competent nature conservation authority can the national nature reserve

(a) to make changes to the type of land or the way in which it is used (3);

(b) to adjust the road surface (4) using non-local natural material of the same geological origin; or

Protection zone

The protection zone of the national nature reserve is situated in the territory of the Liberec Region, in the cadastral territory of Bezdez. The national nature reserve protection zone boundaries shall be determined by a separate closed geometric pattern with direct sides whose vertices are determined by the coordinates of the single trigonometric network system of the cadastral2). The list of coordinates of the vertices of the geometric pattern as they follow in the pattern is given in Annex 2 to this decree. The indicative graphical representation of the national nature reserve protection zone is given in Annex 3 to this Decree.

§ 5

Efficacy

This Decree shall take effect on 1 October 2009.
