Decree of the Minister for Foreign Affairs
of 30 October 1948
on the Additional Protocol to the London Agreement on German Patents of 27 July 1946, agreed in London on 17 July 1947.
The Additional Protocol to the London Agreement on German Patents of 27 July 1946, No. 75 Coll. of 1947, was signed in London on 17 July 1947.
The President of the Republic ratified this Additional Protocol on 31 March 1948.
The Additional Protocol shall be bound by the States which have signed it and whose signatures shall be as indicated in the text of this Protocol as published in the Annex to the Collection of Laws. *)

Protocol.
Governments which are parties to an international agreement on German patents drawn up in London on 27 July 1946;
Desiring to amend the just-named agreement in some ways,
they have agreed as follows:
Article 3 of the International Agreement on German Patents, drawn up in London on 27 July 1946, is amended by excluding the words "without regard to the place of manufacture of these products' and by inserting the words" if such products are manufactured in the State or territory covered by the Agreement '.
Article 9 is amended as follows:
"The Government of any other member of the United Nations or of any country which remained neutral during the Second World War may also become a Contracting Party to this Agreement by notifying the United Kingdom Government of its access to this Agreement by 31 July 1947 at the latest. The Government of the United Kingdom shall inform all governments represented at the London Conference on German Patents, or which acceded to this Agreement under this Article, of any access thus notified.
Any government which accedes to this Agreement between 1 January 1947 and 31 July 1947 shall undertake not to protect or maintain the rights or participation conferred by, or acquired by, non-Germans after 1 August 1946 when exercising the right provided for in Article 4. ';
Which on the conscience of the signature, duly authorised by their respective government, signed this Protocol.
Done in London, 17 July 1947, in English and French, both texts being equally credible, in a single specimen which will remain in the archives of the United Kingdom Government.
The Government of the United Kingdom shall send certified copies of this Protocol to all governments represented at the London Conference on German Patents and to all governments which have become Contracting Parties to or are entitled to become Parties to the Agreement pursuant to Article 9 of this Agreement with the amendments made to this Protocol.
