Government Regulation
of 6 December 1949
on the establishment and operation of selection and compulsory vocational schools in state and national enterprises.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders pursuant to Section 36 of the Act of 21 April 1948, No. 95 Coll., on the Basic Regulation of Single Education (Education Act):
(1) Basic vocational schools, vocational schools and higher vocational schools in state and national enterprises (hereinafter referred to as "schools") provide vocational training aimed at the specific needs of the enterprises for which they are established (hereinafter referred to as "enterprises").
(2) Apprenticeship and business staff attend school.
Schools are set up by the Ministry of Education, Science and Art in agreement with the competent central authorities according to a plan established by the Government.
Personal costs for schools and costs for teaching aids and school books shall be borne by the State.
The curriculum and curriculum of professional subjects shall be adapted to the specific needs of enterprises.
(1) The school shall be managed by the Director, having regard to the operational conditions of the undertakings.
(2) Before the provisions of the Director, the central office responsible shall be heard.
(1) Undertakings submit suggestions for adapting the operation of the school to the specific circumstances of the enterprises to the local advisory body of the school (§ 44, paragraph 1 of the Education Act) for consideration.
(2) Proposals from the Advisory Board shall be submitted by the School Director to the Regional National Committee for further action.
If this is urgently required to meet the business plan, undertakings may entrust workshops and other school facilities with certain production and other business operations. However, such actions must not be jeopardised by the achievement of the teaching objectives set by the curriculum.
Undertakings, after their superior bodies, have the right to convince themselves in agreement with the education authority responsible for the supervision of schools of the performance of their duties in professional subjects, given the specific needs of enterprises.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; They shall be carried out by the Minister of Education, Science and Art in agreement with the Ministers involved.
